the r mika thing is actually being turned over by capcom because while ersb forced their hand and had to censor mika's butt slap animation, the ersb can not rate downloadable content so the upcoming costumes for female characters are hilariously sexualized

People don't want developers censoring their games to appeal to a loud and obnoxious minority of guilt tripping moralizers.

If it was their original intention to not have this pose in the game, it wouldn't be in the game in the first place.

The gist of this isn't really whether Tracer's pose is sexy/sexualized/degrading/whatever, it's more that Blizzard changed a game asset in fear of backlash over their game being labeled as sexist. On top of that it was only one person who complained.

It's not exactly a thing only Facepunch is talking about, TotalBiscuit made a satire video on that post that sparked this and Reddit has a petition thread with a few thousand upvotes saying that this is stupid too.

Does it affect the game and is it a significant change? Probably not. But it's becoming a trend in the gaming industry and the internet does need to get worked up about it so developers know it can't just be swept under the rug.

That's why a lot of people have respect for developers like Kamiya who just says fuck you if people complain about Bayonetta being too sexy.
