Everything I hear and see about the guy paints him as a hilarious dude, except for his videos. I don't find random over-the-top violence and pedophilia jokes, by itself, funny. Remove that and most of his videos have maybe 1 or 2 jokes in them (if that).

I feel like anything I watch by Psychicpebbles or Oney ends in some random "lol xD satan, death, hyperviolence!" non-sequiter. Throw in some voices pitched to one extreme or the other and done.
Maybe I'm wrong, and there's this huge body of clever work I haven't seen but it just doesn't suit me. There's no nuance or subtly, and it never feels like I'm genuinely suprised. The animation's not bad, but the content's just always the same.
I feel like a lot of that circle of animators do the same thing too, and the only reason anyone's watching it is because it's the new edgy. It's cartoony and "omfg sooo fucked up" but it's not serious. It's violence for the sake of violence, which isn't objectionable in and of itself but that's all it is. Maybe there's the occasional sex/pedophilia joke to break it up, but I feel like we've been trading in those since the big 00 for the exact same reason. I end up asking where's the quality? Where's the one-up? I'm not asking for Citizen Kane, but even the Three Stooges occasionally pulled something that wasn't a physical gag.
