Radiohead's internet presence is disappearing. As Reddit users noted, their website slowly decreased in opacity until it went entirely blank. It appears that tweets and Facebook posts from their accounts have been steadily disappearing.
Update (5/1, 2:00 p.m. ET): There are no longer any tweets or Facebook posts on the band's accounts. Their profile pictures and cover photos have gone completely blank, as well. This comes one day after fans of the band received mysterious flyers with the words "Sing a song of sixpence that goes/Burn the Witch/We know where you live." It's unclear what it is, but something seems to be happening.
fucking new album hype
that's genius
best way to grab peoples attention? Vanish to the point where they have to notice :v:
Who is Radiohead, are they a tribute band to Muse?
I am ready for this.
Who is Radiohead, are they a tribute band to Muse?
You cheeky bastard.
Viral marketing is truly effective, I mean they probably pay some guy lots of cash to do nothing
that's pretty neat, i expected some sort of legal rights thing instead
This is truely the end of the world, it begins with Radiohead.
I thought they were pulling a Prince at first
Who is Radiohead, are they a tribute band to Muse?
No, that's Coldplay you idiot.
On April 30 when fans (just people in the UK who bought merch from the website, I believe) got those "BURN THE WITCH" cards in the mail it was Walpurgis Night (AKA Witches' Night.) Today on May 1st is International Dawn Chorus day, which is also relevant since Radiohead established a company titled Dawn Chorus LLP for the release of their next album.
Weezer did a similar thing prior to release of the white album, making all their media avatars and websites pitch white. Certainly not to the extent of deleting posts or removing content though. I wonder if they're doing the same sort of publicity stunt to build hype
Also "Burn the Witch" is the name of a song of theirs that never got a studio recording,
Or a recording at all, really. Thom played a couple of piano chords in response to someone in a crowd shouting the name of the song at him, and apparently an orchestra is involved? I hope the rumors are true and LP9 has a lot of strings on it.
Their spotify albums are getting removed one by one as well :v:
Their spotify albums are getting removed one by one as well :v:
oh fuck I hope they don't do this on Google Play too, I spent a lot of time correcting metadata on everything and arranging shit into playlists with specific track orders

I have Spotify, they haven't removed their albums. They removed their collectors editions of albums which had all the B-sides but that was a few months ago, and it was because they were transfering ownership of their back catalogue to XL.

Oh, false alarm then. That was a pain in the ass, though. I had just realized that all the collector's editions were up and I was like "cool, now I can listen to those B-sides I haven't checked out yet" and then the next day they were all gone.
someone pulled a back to the future and fucked with the time continuum
oh shit thats why all my radiohead spotify songs suddenly got removed.
yes yes yes yes im ready give me a new album

Then it appears i got quite a lot of b-side songs since a fair amount of songs got removed from my playlist
Fucking HYPED.
Can't wait, they sure do know how to hype up an album! Gonna be blasting Radiohead for the rest of the night.
they may have disbanded and moved to hawaii

Even the subreddit is disappearing.
ICE AGE NOT COMING.
