A woman and her daughter is suing American Airlines and flight catering company Sky Chefs for one million dollars, claiming that their airplane food killed her husband. I would sue Sky Chefs for crimes against humanity and good taste.
They lawsuit claims the food was infected by Clostridium perfringens, a common food poisoning bacteria that, according to the FDA, has caused a few deaths.
The infection killed husband Othon Cortes after experiencing "discomfort and pain that included sharp stomach cramps and sudden thirst and other clear outward manifestation of severe physical illness." He arrived dead to his destination after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Sky Chefs, which handles the food for 300 airlines, denies the allegation. They say that they didn't even handle the food for that flight. Well, I don't know if the claim is true or not, but Sky Chefs should be brought to the International Criminal Court and processed for crimes against humanity, including massive cruelty inflicted to passengers with alleged chickens in strange sauces, soggy salads made with PVC molded like tomatoes and lettuce leafs, and unidentifiable gooey blobs made of sweeteners and unknown fluffy substances. The last one could be labeled as "tiramisú", "cheesecake" or "flan", depending on the airline.
Reminder for your next flight: bring a sandwich.

I hate airplane food, I'd rather not have any food.

Agreed, when I was riding with qantas I had a cookie and it looked like a rat went through it.
Hey Garry fixed flags for posts! Didn't see that
I don't mind airplane food. Aegean Airlines tends to be quite good.
It was only a matter of time that this happened :v:
I'm not surprised. Just smelling airplane food will make me throw up. Its the only thing I've smelt that has made me physically sick.
I don't mind airplane food :v:

oh hey the flags are fixed!
The only time I ever went in a plane I had a quite nice sandwich.
Emirates has some okay meals. Their lamb is the better option, though.
Then again, from what I'm reading on the Sky Chefs Wikipedia article, Emirates doesn't get their meals from Sky Chefs.
BA's airplane food is actually really nice, but I flew with Virgin last time, and it was horrible, and they didn't bring enough of one of the two meal types, so there was no choice.
(when I say really nice, I mean better than fast food, but nowhere as good as a home-cooked meal)
Like people say, depends on the airline.
Every time I've flown It's either to and from England from England, so it's basically 10 hours of drinking. Food was great.
So peanuts and tiny cans of soda killed someone?
I'm pretty sure it takes at least a day for food poisoning to show up.
So peanuts and tiny cans of soda killed someone?
You get proper sized cans along with proper meals if you are on an intercontinental flight, or anything longer than a few hours.

Nope. Well, not on Emirates.
Most of my flights are from the UAE to the UK, and back, and it normally takes about 8-9 hours. We still get the miniature cans.
I'm from Europe but the best fucking airplane food is on Air Asia between Phuket and Bangkok.
Wait, I'm I missing something here or what? He must've atleast waited an hour or more for the food to arrive(I don't fly much so I don't really know when the food is served) and then let it incubate which according to Wikipedia(hurr) takes atleast 6 hours and after that manage in the rest of the flight time to die from it. That's gotta be like the fastest killing bacteria in the world!

That sucks, Aegean airlines gave out full meals on my 2 hour flight from Athens to Rome and back. They also gave us soda and snacks on the flight to Heraklion which is like a 30 minute flight.
Isn't the reason why airplane food tastes bad is because the human tastebuds are different in high altitudes?
Is it bad that I like aeroplane food? v:v:v
Is it bad that I like aeroplane food? v:v:v
not at all, it's usually good (depends on the airline)
I don't mind airplane food :v:

It varies from airline to airline, flight to filght.
For example, one flight I got rice and shallots salad with a radish remoulade, fish fillet accompanied by mushrooms in white gravy, vegetable rice and green beans, It was served with a little bottle of French Chardonnay, but I just got ginger ale.
On another flight on the same airline, all you got was Instant noodles, and a soft drink.
The airline food on Air India is actually pretty awesome.

Because airline food can kill you, apparently. People tend to complain about that kind of stuff.
Air New Zealand has fucking awesome airplane food.
