Okay, well I started listening to this band a couple years back. But it wasn't until earlier this year that I realized how amazing they are or should I say how amazing Kevin Barnes is, since he does most of the music on his own.
Albums:
Cherry Peel - 1996? I think
The Bird Who (Continues) To Eat the Rabbits Flower - 1997 (It's more of an EP but w/e)
The Bedside Drama: A Petite Tragedy - 1998
The Gay Parade - 1999
The Early Four Track Recordings - 2001
Coquelicot Asleep In The Poppies: A Variety of Whimsical Verse - 2001
Aldhils Aboretum - 2002
Satanic Panic In The Attic - 2004
The Sunlandic Twins - 2005
The Satanic Twins - 2005 (Remix album)
Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? - 2007 (w/ Icons, Abstract Thee - EP)
Skeletal Lamping - 2008
Probably my favorite out of the Elephant 6 bands, my favorite album, at the moment is Hissing Fauna. But I also love The Bedside Drama.
Any other opinions?
Icons, Abstract Thee > Skeletal Lamping > Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer
I honestly don't like a lot of their older stuff. Those three are :krad: though.
I've listened to some of their newer stuff, mainly Hissing Fauna, and skeletal lamping.
It's pretty cool.
I have one of their albums, they're p. good.
Eh, Skeletal Lamping is pretty good. It's weird though and it took like 4-5 listens to get used to. If you haven't listened to Sunlandic Twins you should check it out. It's kind of like Hissing Fauna
Skeletal Lamping is wonderful.
Greetings from Montreal :D
Never heard of these guys though.
