• Sean Spicer Out as Press Secretary
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer will step back from giving reporters the daily press briefing and is searching for his replacement at the podium. "We have sought input from many people as we look to expand our communications operation. As he did in the beginning, Sean Spicer is managing both the communications and press office," White House officials said in a statement Monday. Spicer will continue to fill the duties of the communications director – a post that has been empty since the end of May after the resignation of Mike Dubke. There has been plenty of speculation about Spicer's job almost since the first day of the Trump administration, when he came before members of the media to defend the new president's claims about crowd sizes at his inauguration. The chatter has ramped up in recent weeks, as he gave over many of his briefing duties to his deputy, Sarah Huckabee Sanders. The White House has reportedly not yet settled on a title for Spicer's new role, which is part of a broader shakeup meant to wipe the slate clean after a series of communications missteps. May you return to live among the bushes.
The spice must go
I pity whoever has to take over after him, though I guess they can't do any worse.
What will Melissa McCarthy do now?
In other news, unemployment in D.C. still on the rise.
I pity whoever has to take over after him, though I guess they can't do any worse.
Didn't Trump say he wanted to do the press briefings himself? :v
Didn't Trump say he wanted to do the press briefings himself? :v
Well that would be the one exception to "can't do any worse".
Dippin Dots are the Illuminati, and got Spicer removed. Its all a conspiracy
Just a note: he is expected to leave. No confirmation from major media yet. i have this sort of weird affection for sean spicer just as a result of how fucking awful his job has been and how much he's been dragged through the mud by literally everyone around him, lol. poor dude can't catch a break and has the most ridiculous boss on the planet. Think about your first day as the press secretary for the united states. And on that first day your batshit boss tells you to go out and lie to the entire public about a mundane issue that is obviously a lie because we all have eyeballs.
This guy was great entertainment. Sad to see him go.
He had one of the hardest jobs in the world, acting as a liaison between Donald Trump and reality. I hope he takes some well deserved time off
Spicy noooooooooo :(
What will Melissa McCarthy do now?
I have to imagine the "farewell" episode will be the best one yet
I wonder what bottom of the barrel they can scrape together for this train wreck of government. At the very least Sean Spicer didn't have an idea of how much the President would undermine his own words and the word of his own administration. Now? You really have no reason to make a fantasy land of how things will go when you get that job. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Spicer is actually going to spend more with his family then being forced to resign.
See you spice cowboy.
his one last deathcry before he fades into the bushes of night "dipping dots are not the future of ice cream"
Sarah huckabee sanders and her insane bullshit will be right up next

He chose to be a part of the Trump administration.
What will Melissa McCarthy do now?
Don't worry, there's endless opportunity for McCarthy as a potential "Hobo Spicer". He chose to be a part of the Trump administration.
God, imagine if he pulled the "disgruntled ex-employee" maneuver and started dropping all sorts of dirt on Trump when he leaves. :v:
I felt bad for Sean when he was all excited to get to meet the Pope, one of the devout Catholic's lifelong ambitions, only to get left behind while Trump went to go embarrass America overseas. That's just a dick move no matter how you slice it. Trump demands absolute loyalty and offers none, so I wouldn't at all be surprised if Spicer's just fed up with being abused.
Well that would be the one exception to "can't do any worse".
To quote Invader Zim, "Worse? Or better?"
I don't think so, I seem to recall a fox news commentator claiming to have been a candidate for his replacement a while ago. Trump and company want to mix things up in a bid to control the media. (I suppose he could have resigned though, still.) One has to wonder where his career will go after the administration.

They haven't announced it yet but dollars to donuts it's Sarah Huckabee Sabders. She's a lot smoother and charismatic than spicer and that's bad. She'll actually be able to deflect the questions.

Rumor has it that Laura Ingraham (of Fox News) is a name being tossed around.
But who will continue his crusade against Dipping Dots?
What's all this about Dippin Dots?
