Squeaky front suspension when cold? Also have a question about steering...

My front suspension squeaks like crazy when going over speed bumps when it's cold. Is it true that this is nothing to worry about? The suspension is fine, acts totally normal minus the squeaking.
Side question.... When going really slow, and turning right, to park for example, sometimes the front passenger side wheel makes this bump/pop type thing. I doubt it's the wheel bearing, because I've had one of those go before...none of the symptoms are there. What else could that be?

As for the pop, how low is your ride height? It sounds like the tire is hitting the inside of the fender.

It's a 2008 Chevy Cobalt LS, nothing's done to it, all stock. So however low that is. The reason it's got me worried is vibration and slight pulling to the right when I accelerate, even though I had an alignment a few weeks ago.
The suspension on my Jeep squeaks when it's cold too but I don't worry about it

Yeah I asked my dad, he said it's just cold/stiff.
Sounds to me like you got a broken tie rod or whatever, your front end is fucked up. At least that's what the bump/pop means to me. I'm no expert though.

Yeah I think you need to go yell at your mechanic who did your alignment.

A broken tie rod would yield tons of other symptoms that I just don't have, which is why I am stumped.
It may just be your suspension reacting to the cold. Cold metal contracts, which does odd things to cars.
If you see more symptoms, then get it check out. Otherwise, if its just sounds, then you can probably ignore it.
Squeaking is just the bushes, squirt some spray grease over and in all the bushes and then some WD40 to get any water out. That will solve your problem.
About the pop is it just 1 pop or a continuous sound?

It's just one pop/bump noise, when I'm parking usually. I can feel the car kinda jump, for lack of a better term.
Strange. Without looking at or hearing it I can't really give an accurate guess but somewhere to start looking might be the CV joints.
I have pretty much the same problem with my Corsa. I'm not worried about the suspension creeking (only does it when going over huge speed bumps, even really slowly). Just the thuds whenever i turn around with full lock on. Sounds like the tire is hitting the arch but i can't be sure.

I guess the tire hitting could be the case, but wouldn't it be a constant rub, not a bump? I mean the tire is circular...

True, next time I'm in my car I'll try and record it.
Is the Cobalt's Engine Sub frame made out of aluminum? Cuz on GM W-Body Cars (Grand prix, Impala, Buick Century) The Bolts that mount it to the unibody can work loose due to the aluminum expanding differently than the Unibody and cause a random Pop here and there. Otherwise it Could be a bad strut mount or bad Control arm bushings "posssibly".

I have no idea, not a car person man, I work in IT...my knowledge doesn't go too far from that, and guns. CV joint is kind of ringing true though since I hear a small clunk when going over bumps in the road at a low speed.
a Bad CV Joint would Click and "Wurr" if it was going bad, not pop. small clunk over bumps could very well be shot Control arm bushings. they Like to tear, which allows the Control arm to move around, and actually bang into the Frame.

I had a Ford SVT Focus, with bad ball joints..fucker clunked like crazy.
Ball joints and CV Joints are 2 different things. Ball joints Can cause clunking yes.

Do ball joints make the sound I am talking about (not the suspension).
Yes a bad Ball joint can cause Clunks. IF its the ball joint on the Tie-rod end, it can cause Sloppy Steering. a bad ball join on the control arm MAY throw off the alignment. For the most part theres no Visual way of checking them either, you need to load the suspension and check for play.
You should get the whole front suspension inspected, shouldn't cost all that much. With 4 symptoms it could be a number of things, but I wouldn't be suprised if a tie-rod end was shot on the passenger side.

Yeah I gotta take the bitch in this weekend. The car is only 3 years old, and I baby it...I don't know how this happened aside from it being a piece of shit Chevy.
I have a 2009 Impala that I've had in to have all 4 door lock motors replaced, a Heater Temp. motor replaced and I have a bad Solenoid in my transmission which is gonna take me 6 hours to replace becuase they refuse to acknowledge it under warrenty. I also had a bent tie-rod due to a Mal-formed sub frame in the rear which they refused to cover under warrenty (and quoted me $2200 to fix). I had to drop the exhuast and take the whole rear end off the car and do it my self (cost me $120).
My advice is to just not buy a chevy again. I know I'm not. lol

Yeah I had issues with the Service Airbag light at 48k miles, and they basically told me to fuck off.
Next car is a BMW. I'm done with this American bullshit.
