That, however, brings us to the one million Simoleon question: would EA charge money for pools and/or toddlers if they decided to add them back in as part of a post-release update or expansion? On that point, Nardone was somewhat evasive:
"I'd really just say look at what we've done in the past. We've had a variety of different ways we've delivered content to players, and I think we'll continue to support what they're looking for."

source sounds like a big fat "get ready to pay 20 bucks for pools and toddlers" to me
Basements were introduced via DLC and given to everyone for free.
They have been known to pack DLC into updates which were free.. so it's not exactly confirmed. Being the cash cow that EA is.. It wouldn't surprise me if some DLC is paid for. But, I doubt that it will extend to every iota of content.
Basements were introduced via DLC and given to everyone for free.
And they were doable before anyway, at least in the sims 2.
Pools may possibly be back in a free patch, but if they do bring back toddlers in an expansion, I guarantee they'll be exclusive to it.

As long as it comes in a free patch, I really won't care. I just hope we won't be forced to pay for pools in a DLC. I mean, it's not a big concern, but it'd suck to have to.
Nice editorialized title OP. Considering that isn't what he said at all. It was more of a non-answer than anything.
so we've learned literally nothing new about pools nor their plans, and the statement fully hinted at the fact that they're confident that people will be happy with the way they handle it down the line stop making threads for every piece of non-news about the pool
