The new season is on June 13th, and I personally, cannot wait! I loved True Blood, and unfortunately one of my other favorite shows, [URL="http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=902467"]Breaking Bad[/URL] has it's season finale on the 13th, at least True Blood starts.
True Blood is directed by Alan Ball, his other series he directs is called "Six Feet Under" I've never watched it, but it's fairly popular. He also directed one of my favorite movies, "American Beauty." And he's also openly gay.
True Blood is actually based on a series of novels called The Southern Vampire Mysteries. The series main character is [URL="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/8a/Sookie_(TB).jpg"]Sookie Stackhouse[/URL], who is a telepathic waitress who works at a bar, and falls in love with a Vampire, [URL="http://static.tvfanatic.com/images/gallery/bill-compton-pic.jpg"]Bill Compton[/URL]. So I hope you guys have HBO.
Such an awesome show. Six Feet Under was just as awesome, too, I suggest to anyone who likes this show to try it out if you haven't watched it.
Are there any season 1-season 2 recaps on YouTube right now? I've completely forgotten everything that happened. Feels like it's been so long.
I know there's some on the True Blood website.
Amazing show, I can't wait for the next season.
WEREWOLVES! BLOODTHIRSTY BIKER WEREWOLVES!
I can't believe you nerds actually like this Twilight shit.

Apparently anything with vampires in it is pretty much the same as Twilight. Great theory.
Besides, True Blood came first.
Well, the books "Sookie Stackhouse" did atleast, beats Twilight by 4 years.
This is actually similar to Twilight as it's combining sex and vampires.
Twilight is just a more tame version of True Blood, in movie form.

I know this for a fact because I've watched both and hate both, and the main character in True Blood has the largest gap between her teeth that I've ever seen.
Except the only thing similar between them both is the love story between a human and a vampire.
Twilight doesn't have mind readers, shapeshifters, maenads, rednecks, gratuitous amounts of sex and gore, or any other beasties that they plan on throwing our way.
But then again, I have never watched Twilight and will never watch it.
I like my vampires sex-starved and insanely bloodthirsty.
All i know is that all girls watch this.

Ya I hate any show that has a main character with a gap in their teeth, it's just impossible to watch.
[editline]02:54PM[/editline]
This is also similar to the 'Christian' channel, seeing as how they both had reverends.
[editline]02:54PM[/editline]
Don't forget Animal Planet, there's animals too.
[editline]02:54PM[/editline]
Oh, can't skip the werewolves, this show copies Underworld too.
[editline]02:55PM[/editline]
Oh shit this show even has weapons. It's similar to the war in Iraq!
[editline]02:57PM[/editline]
Also very similar to any porno, as I've seen tits in this show.

Yeah, thanks to Twilight nearly all women are into anything that includes vampires and romance.
This show portrays vampires quite nicely, but I still kinda don't like the idea that vampires can fall in love. They're supposed to be souless. The rest of the vampires besides the ones that fall in love or feel very compassionate towards others are fucking bamfs.
But still: Sex, Gore, Tits, Violence, Vampires, Werewolves, Shape-shifters, Mind readers, this show is fucking awesome. Can't wait till the next season.

If I wasn't so lazy I would've said that. Nicely put.

Sex is thematical of vampire movies. Since the original Dracula.
Vampires are supposed to be sexy.
Just not sparkly.

Are you kidding? Nosferatu was far from sexy.
My girlfriend gave me the first season to watch. I wasn't terribly excited about it, as it seemed kinda... I dunno... more of a chick thing, but it's actually pretty good.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find good streams of the second season online, and I really don't feel like paying to watch it...

Yeah but Nosferatu are just dumb sewer rats
This season is off to a great start.
Glad to see Pam getting more screen time and Jason is finally back to his old antics.(though, he's seeing bullet holes in everyone's head now)
It's so awesome to see how every character is basically off dealing with their own storyline.
Is there a good place to watch the second season online? I really need to get caught up
Great show. Season premiere had a little too much man-ass, though. o_o

Well the director is gay....
I've been thinking of getting season 1, I didn't realize Alan Ball directed it, though. Now I'm getting it without a second thought.
I just watched the first episode, I'm already hooked. Alan Ball never ceases to be amazing
I really like the show, and I am not insecure about my masculinity for that.
This show got so silly
[editline]10:12PM[/editline]
love it anyway

It's a violent show that has vampires, good god, Twilight has completely changed society's view on vampires...Pretty god damn sad.
it isn't even about vampires anymore. It has shapeshifters and gods
[QUOTE=Tyvak;22533575]Apparently anything with vampires in it is pretty much the same as Twilight. Great theory.[/QUOTE]
Well, Twilight was ripped off of this show. Just a gayer version.
Related.
