[release]The recording, purported to be from a Nato PsyOps team, was posted on Saturday and warns Colonel Gaddafi that "we can strike at any time".
The audio file, which is believed to have jammed the Libyan radio airwaves, adds: "Nato has been watching closely. Nato knows where you are and will continue to watch you.
"Nato will not tolerate hostile acts of your intent to conduct hostile acts against the civilian population.
"As you know we can strike at any time and place of your choosing if you continue to endanger our people."
The message is believed to have been purposely transmitted to the Libyan leader, whose country has been at war since the Arab uprising in February.
Any forces that continue to coordinate or to command and control forces involved in combat action ... will be considered as a threat to the civilian population and will be targeted by Nato forces.
Nato's Warning to Colonel Gaddafi's troops
It urges Colonel Gaddafi to "prove that you want to safeguard your people by moving away from any land, sea and air military equipment that threatens the Libyan population".
The message continues: "Nato does not want to kill you, but if you continue to operate, move, maintain or remain with military equipment of any sort you will be targeted for destruction.
"Look to your future: move away from all land, air and sea equipment now ... If you target Nato vessel you will be destroyed."
The transmission then tells Colonel Gaddafi's troops to turn their back on their leader as "there is no legal and moral reason to obey his orders".
The message concludes: "Any forces that continue to coordinate or to command and control forces involved in combat action from bases or military installations will be considered as a threat to the civilian population and will be targeted by Nato
forces."
The conflict in Libya will cost the British Government £260m if it continues for six months, according to a Ministry of Defence report.[/release]
Good job NATO.
Also Italy should invade, they are at war with Libya.
Nato also greatly enjoys talking about self in third person. Nato will continue to do so for the remainder of this message.
It's only a matter of time until he's dead

There were small elements of the Italian Airforce and Navy enforcing the embargo and the bombardments. They're allow opening all of their air bases to NATO forces.

less words, more assasinating
NATO is now /B/ I take it.
Worth a try, though I doubt it's efficacy. For one, considering what the military has done to deserters, I don't think they'll be kind to soldiers listening to it, especially the part that calls upon them to desert. Gaddafi's madder than a cow with BSE, anyway, so he's not going to pay heed.
They'll probably have more success playing Nyan Cat on every frequency the Libyan loyalist military uses.
I find it amusing how NATO said this and not the UN.
Dude if I got this message I would be fucking scared. :ohdear:

I wouldn't want to get buttfucked by a team of Navy SEALS

NATO is military
UN is peacekeeping
"As you know we can strike at any time and place of your choosing if you continue to endanger our people."
:raise:
I hope they seriously aren't trying to eliminate Gaddafi, let the rebels do that. Otherwise the whole rebellion would feel worthless for them.

they'll probably just mug him and airdrop him into some rebel base.

There has to be treaties against that kind of thing! :ohdear:
OP
So what NATO is effectively saying is to disband his own military, because it's a threat to the civilian populace just for existing?
:irony:

....Nope.
So what NATO is effectively saying is to disband his own military, because it's a threat to the civilian populace just for existing?

Have you seen their track record?

Because NATO actually intends to kill libyan civilians. Gadafi gives his soldiers viagra to rape his own people. You are really fucking thick if you think accidental civilian casualties, which is unfortunate byproduct of warfare, is anywere comparable to the horrific things Gadafii condones and promotes.
I loved learning about NATO in Global.

Which is a damn good point.

Nothing but Illuminati lies. Only Infowars and Prison Planet know the truth.
I didn't know Unified Protector had a logo

Couldn't help but think of:

We already killed his son (or something like that). I wonder if he'll react to this.
NATO PsyOps?
:psyduck:

A huge army with a bunch of isolated incidents that cannot be proven to source back to Gaddafi's orders (except of course those mysterious unnamed people NATO and their proponents keep bringing up)? Ordering bombings for no apparent reason? You can't really seriously believe he's actually insane enough to be solely responsible for all of that and yet hasn't been assassinated by his own people already. If you tell me the UN, NATO, or the ICC are reliable sources (being the ones on the offense and the few parties with something at stake) then I'm going to laugh and skip your reply. Let's hear from someone reliable who isn't directly involved somehow.
What I'm getting at is that NATO ironically fills the same descriptions of what they're telling him not to do: intentionally or not, they're a military structure and are endangering civilians by even being there dropping bombs out of the sky. It's already killed a few people, at least that we know of.

Again, this has never been proven (except by the ICC and their magically nameless witnesses and sources), and it's a load of crap if you think anyone actually bothered to get frickin' Viagra for their men just to promote rape.
Which is a damn good point.
Once again, it's ironic, because NATO is still "endangering" civilians by being there - intentionally or not. The rebels are endangering civilians by looking just like them and hiding in population centers while fighting a leader who doesn't ascribe to fuzzy panda bear warfare. Is it any wonder Gaddafi is going to assault cities with people in them?
They seem to expect Gaddafi to disband his military due to being dangerous to civilians (which is absolutely hypocritical), yet also somehow think he'll willingly do this and let the rebels string him up. Logic fail.

NATO SMAAAASH!!

The rebels are the civilians. Nobody likes Gaddafi.
And this is why PsyOps(Psychological Operations) is awesome, nothing like messing with the enemy's head.
Gaddafi is going to be insanely paranoid for the rest of his life.
I like how Jenkem is defending a guy with a historical record of human rights abuses. Fun guy at parties I bet.
