Recently, I've been collecting records. I happened across a mint condition Bleach Vinyl. :D. BUT, a friend commented, saying theres no point in keeping it in mint condition if im not going to listen to it. Anyone have an opinion about this?
the point of a record/music in general is listening to it
If you come across something like that mint, I'd package it as best as possible and display it somewhere if possible, then just buy a cheap copy of the same vinyl and listen to that version. Simple.

Collect vinyl for the worth or for the joy of the music and sentimental value in the future
Buying cheap wont always give quality listening
buy decent and listen to them keep them in good condition so that it will keep sounding great
that's the plan
I would collect vinyl but records are expensive, kind'a rare and i don't have a record player. I'm doing the next best thing and collecting CDs.
Vinyls are incredibly cool compared to shitty CD's. Definitely listen to them, though, you'll get so much more enjoyment out of them.
