So ye, seeing as it doesn't fit into the guitar discussion thread so much we put it here. Discuss about your awesome stacks, combos, or just practice amp. I myself have a Line 6 Spider III, substantially better than its predecesor.
I have a cheap ass Cube - 30
Roland Microcube bass RX - Shit hot piece of kit, Used it for busking, sessions, drum monitoring and even as a battery operated boombox for my mp3 player!! My gigging amplifier consists of a Galien Krueger BAckline 600: And a Ashdown MAG 2x10T Great cab for what I paid £175 - Why does ANYONE buy behringer cabs?!?!
I have a Traynor Dynabass 100 watt combo. Might be getting an SWR/Gallien-Krueger/Ampeg/Ashdown 200w+ head, and probably a 4x10 cabinet of some sort.
For the sake of your back, get a Neodymium cabinet if you can D: - Drummers and singers never help your carry shit ¬.¬
I was actually looking into a mesa boogie dual rectifier :v:
Line6 LowDown 150Watt
For the sake of your back, get a Neodymium cabinet if you can D: - Drummers and singers never help your carry shit ¬.¬
I'd like to get a neo cab, but theyre a bit out of my price range. D: And yuh, damned drummers/singers. In my old band, I tried not to let my singer near my shit for fear of him being a dumbfuck and breaking something, and I always had to help the drummer, since he played a 7-piece kit. -_-
Those things suck why does everyone have one i'm trying to sell mine
Dunno, I bought it purely cause of the price. Pretty cheap here in Iceland, makes a pretty good sound for me. Gonna try to get my mesa boogie soon though

Not mine actually, 'Tis my guitarists.. I use an artec APW-7 myself. Even then, He uses a cry baby now.. It's lonely on the windowsill :o

Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. Best cleans ever, yet worst distortion ever. Thank god for BOSS pedals.
I used to use a line6 spider 2 =(. But now I use the Vox AC15CC1. I love it =D, It's a beast. IT doesn't have a whole lot in terms of distortion but it has some OK sounding overdrive. I just Use a Boss MT-2 metal zone for some heavy metal sound. I'm not a huge fan of the reverb it has, it could be better for sure but overall, It's a nice amp to use. VERY nice cleans. You have to really crank it to get the best out of it though.
I need you to recommend me a practice amp. I want a warm, clean sound, sound is pretty much the only thing that matters. It has to be pretty cheap too, I have a very limited budget.
Id recommend just heading into a music shop and trying out different amps, however you should bring your guitar with you I think. That's the best way to do it me thinks. The only way you can tell if you like something is if you try it.
Cornford amps are the way to go.
I have a Vox AD15VT. It's not bad, what does FP think about it?
I have a Vox AD15VT. It's not bad, what does FP think about it?
It's great for what it is.
I need you to recommend me a practice amp. I want a warm, clean sound, sound is pretty much the only thing that matters. They've got pretty good cleans, and the amp itself is around the $100 area(new), or around $40 used.
For a practice amp, try a small Roland.
DigiTech RP250. I really like it.
I use a Crate V18 2x12 tube amp at the moment, with my DigiTech GNX 1 pedal. The GNX isn't bad for what it is, especially since mine is a dated model. The Crate has surprisingly nice cleans, but being only Class-A, I NEED the pedal for any real distortion. Great out of the box for blues and cleans though. Granted I also got mine for only $200 online. I also recently bought a 120 watt Crate solid state combo from Guitar Center used for only $100, I'll post actual relevant info when I pick it up on Friday.

I have a shitty Ashton BA-4012 bass amp, but i'm hoping to get a Fender rumble 100 soon

I've got a Laney LX12, it's not big but it gets its job done fine. I also just sprained my arm somehow
Picked up a most excellent amp a few months ago, a Peavey 5150 2x12. This thing is a BEAST of a combo amp. No need for a wimpy distortion pedal, the distortion on this amazing piece of equipment will rip your fucking head off, with awesomeness. Not only does this thing sound absolutely huge when it's cranked, it does a pretty damn good "brown sound" (which is a given, being Eddie's signature model and all) If you're wondering what the hell the red box is, it's a Weber MASS attenuator. Nothing's better than the sound of a cranked tube amp and not having angry neighbors knocking at my door. And no, despite all the crazy rumors, attenuators are not crazy amp killing machines. Also, ignore the little amp on the left.
