The show was originally set to be held at the Majestic on John Young Parkway, but organizers said the venue canceled late Thursday after getting negative feedback about Zimmerman's planned appearance. “They told us they canceled for community pressure,” said Mike Piwowarski, a show organizer. “They were getting phone calls and backlash, and didn’t want that kind of person there.” Piwowarski said he was angry the Majestic canceled the event and he plans to sue for an estimated $300,000 in lost gun sales.
It's like i'm reading an article from the Onion.
Source?
Everything else aside it's kind of fucked up to be acting like a celebrity after gaining notoriety for killing someone, regardless of how it went down. here's a source idk if it's a good one.
Source?
My bad, posted.
Everything else aside it's kind of fucked up to be acting like a celebrity after gaining notoriety for killing someone, regardless of how it went down.
Agreed, I won't argue about the case but how low is it to go around signing autographs and acting famous because you killed a teenager.
Everything else aside it's kind of fucked up to be acting like a celebrity after gaining notoriety for killing someone, regardless of how it went down.
it's quite a bit more than "kind of" fucked up
Everything else aside it's kind of fucked up to be acting like a celebrity after gaining notoriety for killing someone, regardless of how it went down.
basically it's a gain for people that support concealed carry to defend against people that would otherwise kill you, if you didn't have your CC. So I can see where he is gaining notoriety, for a good reason. As for killing someone, I think in the situation that was described and we all heard, read about it from online, media, news. It was basically him or the other guy.

I really wish he would just go live his life somewhere in obscurity, doing things like this is net negative for both causes.

But he was neighbourhood watch, not neighbourhood-get out of your vehicle with your gun and hunt down someone not committing a crime on foot, he had no business following Martin around like that. If you're suspicious, alert the authorities and let them deal with it. Essentially the guy achieved fame by being a bad choice for neighbourhood watch duties.
"oh no hes getting publicity how do we stop this" "LETS MAKE ANOTHER NEWS STORY ABOUT HIM, THAT'LL STOP HIM!"
I am enjoying the comments on that page about Zimmerman bashing. Stupid that people want his autograph but people saying he should have stayed in his car while saying Trayvon had every right to walk around the neighborhood sure. But Zimmerman also had every right to walk up to him and ask a question which led to him running then assaulting him. Also this is pretty much what happened in case anybody would like to know what occurred that night according to Zimmerman. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itPY54C_guM If somebodies on top of you beating your face in and you are armed. You have every right to shoot, you don't know what that individual will do if you are knocked unconscious. Just tired of people still raging about it it's old news and should be forgotten.
A bigger point is that what we really really know doesn't really prove that he is either guilty or innocent, that's kind of a huge logical barrier for either conclusion but it seems everyone is content on jumping to one.
We will never know what really happened. History is always written by the victor, and Zimmerman won this fight. In the end mistakes were made by both people and this whole situation could have been avoided. Zimmerman could have said, Hey do you mind if I ask you what your doing in the neighborhood? We've had a string of break-ins lately and just wanted to know if you could keep an eye out on any suspicious activity. Of-course Trayvon could have stayed and asked what Zimmerman was doing following him, found out told him oh I'm just walking back to my dads house. Just a string of bad decisions that led to the death of a young person who for all we know could have been a celebrity, businessman, or a degenerate.

It's best to assume someone is innocent rather than send them to jail because they seem guilty without proof. We aren't Italy.
I don't get why everyone cared about him during the trial. Why do we still care now?
Because a whole lot of leftwing social justice warriors wanted to wreak vengeance on a white man who isn't really white for all the crimes of the white anglo saxon protestant menace [editline]9th March 2014[/editline] Seriously how could you look at Zimmerman and not register that he's Hispanic
The media needs to stop giving attention to this clown. But honestly, who would actually ask for an autograph from someone who is only famous because he killed a teenager? Pathetic.
I'd get that autograph.
can we just agree that the guy is definitely a dick at this point and never pay attention to him again
can we just agree that the guy is definitely a dick at this point and never pay attention to him again
Lets see if he saves more lives and shoots more teenagers.
The media needs to stop giving attention to this clown. But honestly, who would actually ask for an autograph from someone who is only famous because he killed a teenager? Pathetic.
In the eyes of the people getting the autographs it's not because he killed someone, it's because he defended himself. Not saying I support that our that i would go get his autograph but I got an autograph from Chris Kyle and he killed well over 100 people. Different communities have different hero's, and what is stupid and pathetic to some is honorable and heroic to others.

His name is literally ruined, he was turned in to a villain by the news media. I mean at that point fuck it, he owes nobody anything.
It's weird how we say he didn't commit murder because innocent until proven guilty, yet the only proven fact around the case is that he shot and killed trayvon, the thing that we aren't sure on is if trayvon martin was innocent of assaulting him to lead up to it.
What is it about people being declared innocent during high-profile cases and then going off and doing really inappropriate things that make them look bad? This feels similar to when OJ Simpson wrote that book about what he would have ACTUALLY done if he had ACTUALLY committed his crime. Tastefulness aside, I feel like if I were in a case like these I'd go in to hiding for a few years. Not, say, challenge people to boxing matches.
I'm done trying to bother defending him, he's being a fucking jackass.
can we just agree that the guy is definitely a dick at this point and never pay attention to him again
The media won't stop reporting if we keep watching. Honestly in the right or not, he's setting himself up for a downfall so hard you could see the impact from the moon.
Why is he doing this I having nothing against him but seriously Why? Nothing good can come out of this for him.
I completely lost track of the whole Zimzam thing a while ago
Because a whole lot of leftwing social justice warriors wanted to wreak vengeance on a white man who isn't really white for all the crimes of the white anglo saxon protestant menace
Every time somebody makes a hilarious blanket statement like this I just imagine them yelling at imaginary people in a completely empty room or a brick wall. Who the hell are you even trying to whip out an epic zinger on right now, and what did they do to you besides, I don't know, existing? Did they steal your lunch money or something?
