I fucking love this guys channel
if the militarization of police meant more non-lethals, i think that would be pretty great.
It also includes the use and more standard use of highly lethal automatic weapons, the training of police officers to act less as officers of the peace and more as soldiers in a combat zone, etc. Not a big fan of that kinda stuff
Why doesn't he just say "40 millimeter" or "40 mil" "instead of "40 mike mike". Just sounds so weird.

That's how a lot of people in the military/police say it since Mike is 'M' on the NATO phonetic alphabet. It's probably easier to understand over the radio as well when you're saying "bring out the 40 mike mike" or something.
It should be noted that this guy is an actual SWAT officer that also streams games.

With the proliferation of body armor cops are going to be using military-caliber semi-automatic rifles regardless of what you or anyone else cares. The question is if they'll get them from uncle sam at reduced rate or out of their department budget. Even cops in Germany generally carry a long rifle (G36, AR variant, or G3) in their car.

I prefer the term 'foam bastards'

Some places in America are quite literally combat zones. I dunno what else you expect them to do in those kinds of situations. They're not using tanks against J-walkers like people seem to think they do. It's about being prepared for the worst case scenario.
