There's no way they filmed that all in one take. There's probably some trickery going on, like in their "This Too Shall Pass" music video. Amazing nonetheless.

I thought it was obvious when they were driving out the place. Their trikes or whatever they're called were moving slightly wrong compared to the camera angle.
If those scooter things are not RC then I want one.

Yes, it seemed a bit artificial, but that might just be the result of slightly sped up and stabilized footage. Who knows.
They're going to have a tough time topping this one, they've come a long way from treadmill hoping :v:
Ok Go sure knows how to make really catchy music, not to mention their simple and clever videos are just a bunch of fun.

Pretty sure the whole thing was sped up and recorded from a drone with the camera attached to it. No idea on how many takes it took to make the whole thing though.

It's a Honda Uni-Cub basically their more consumer fitting U3-X prototype personal mobility device.
About the 52 second mark, you can tell there's some trickery going on as they seem to 'vibrate' while the scene around them doesn't make any irregular movement. I'd still like to see some behind the scenes stuff for it, all of Ok Go's videos are awesome
That was really something
They didn't let us down.
I think maybe it was a drone mounted a dolly that was released for the air shots
[editline]27th October 2014[/editline]
also those weird vibrations look like post-stabilization
It probably wasn't all one take but I'd assume there ar ejust a few long takes, which is still very impressive

That's the stabilization.

Yeah the whole thing is definitely sped up.
They are definitely missing a marketing opportunity for the OK go-pro
holy shit the ending had some impressive coordination
-snip- never mind I'm going crazy

Looks like messed up stabilization, though I doubt they'd let this happen on purpose.
Looks like messed up stabilization, though I doubt they'd let this happen on purpose.
Yeah, it looks like it's stabilized with the focus on the person. The excessively jittery capture was likely compounded due to the video being sped up.

Cute girls though
Last part is shenenigans :

See how one of those segway-like-riding-asian-chick-with-umbrella is actually pushing the two other around her as if she had this forcefield or something. It's like looking at units doing flowfield pathfinding in supcom 2.
But still, fake or not, the whole thing is pretty awesome.
Start with a dolly mounted cam, switch it over to a crane mount during the ride out, fixed with gyroscopic stabilizers would do it then switch to a drone for the aerial shot
stabilize the whole thing in post and done
the whole video is speed up once they exit the building.
It's certainly possible and quite easy, you just have to be slow.

Their not on segways, only the band members are. And those girls are clearly just giving her room to move into her spot? :v:
Are their music videos usually done elaborately this way?
I remember this from a while back.

This one guys pants are too short
So many people are ready to cry out fake and picking at every detail, it might be sped up/slowed down and stabalized but I don't think the OK GO guys would resort to computer generated umbrellas and such.
notice how they use a higher shutter speed to assist in the stabilization
I love camera stuff
I always love their videos and their music. I should really buy one of their albums, but I don't know which one.
A good starting point is Oh No. First album I heard back in my teens, pretty strong all round.
the last part with all the umbrellas was animated from about the 3:48 mark.
is this true? It's still pretty simple choreography to open and close the umbrellas, don't see why they needed CG
I thought the song was really generic, but fuck me the video was entertaining.
Imagine the satisfaction of having pulled something like this off.

It was all one shot, the last part with all the umbrellas was animated from about the 3:48 mark. The picture is what they filmed with, a multi-copter drone that Honda designed specifically for this project.
I can't find a source on the umbrella part being animated, with the exception of your post on this website :v: Where did you find the info? It honestly doesn't seem impossible that they just choreographed it.
