Four years after his first Q&A session, former Rep. Paul is back online. See the libertarian hero's answers to the Internet's most burning questions.
Ron Paul may have retired from the House of Representatives, but he’s hardly stepped out the public eye. The three-time presidential wannabe has recently inserted himself into the NSA-Edward Snowden debate as a vocal opponent of the surveillance program and even launched his own Internet news channel.
Didn't somebody once get him to admit that his economic policies were unworkable?
for the love of god, somebody please ask him if it's happening, or ask him about bitcoins
Dear Ron Paul: "Didn't name him after Ayn Rand?" Come on, who are you trying to fool?
Didn't somebody once get him to admit that his economic policies were unworkable?
He has a lot of very solid beliefs. The problem is he is just too old school for our very progressive and rapidly changing generation. Libertarianism is basically "smart republicanism" according to facepunch. You get all the free market with none of the social sanctioning or disbelief in science or anything else that facepunch tends to wholly disagree with.
People just polarize to Democrats and Republicans because thats how the parties have polarized and if you aren't of those two you don't really have a chance. I'm sure that a very large percentage of Republicans are Libertarians who either don't know what Libertarianism is or just stand with Republicans despite that so they are recognized as one of two larger more powerful parties.
All in all, Gary Johnson is a much better choice and candidate than Ron Paul. However, lots of things that people thought Ron Paul was doing that were contradictory or stupid, he DID do a very good job of explaining why he made those decisions in the AMA. I see him in a much better light now.

Everything is hate speech according to those guys. Its going to be interesting with Paul at that conference, since he says he believes in separation of Church and State.
Ron Paul is a politician which has very backwards beliefs and could potentially do substantial damage to the country both economically and socially if elected. Because he wants to legalize weed! Can't you see which has the higher priority here??
I wonder if he's aware of the "IT'S HAPPENING" meme.

During the presidential election a lot of people viewed him as the "Reset Button" option so naturally people severely disenchanted with the current Congress (especially on matters of foreign policy) gravitated towards him.
