My buddy Hamst3r did something similar by messing with Melodyne to add audio to something that previously didn't have audio. A lot of people buy into it simply because it gets reposted without credit and Hamst3r's disclaimer in the description.

I honestly don't think it's hard to dupe people into believing nonsense. I totally get that it can happen on accident.

Oh my god I never knew that audio was added in but that makes so much sense as I wouldn't expect sound equipment at McDonald's to sound any better than their drive through window

This is a couple years old, but here's his voice. He did all of those voices. He has also left the metal band that doesn't exist and has different head and facial hair.

If I can get Melodyne up and running I can see if I can do something similar to show you how crazy Melodyne is. If you mess with the pitch and formants you can do a lot of different voices. They do this for Heavy in TF2 to make his voice crazy masculine.
I've got melodyne for simple pitch editing and I've messed with formant for portal voices but clearly I need to experiment more with the tool. Thanks for that, it definitely opens me up to new voice acting options
Your voice gets you most of the way there, and then Melodyne is meant to push the limit a little bit. It's the icing on the cake. You don't use it to an extreme and if you do, you're smart about it.
It's actually made pretty well, for just getting after effects the guy sure learned a lot about basic compositing.
I urge you all to pick up After Effects, not that expensive if you pay monthly. It's one of the more fun visual programs to play around with.
Fantastic footage, it's a shame the NSA forced him to cover it up.
