Yeah that's pretty much it.
It's been delayed, cancelled on PC, thought to be dead, and now they want to do DLC? They need to rebuild their fanbase first of all. All of my console gaming friends don't even know what this game IS! I think it was more popular on the PC and they completely gave us up. I don't even understand this game. Is it linear? Free-roam seems kinda hard to do when this guy is visioning monsters and the like.
Give us the game first.
I don't think announcing DLC before the game is out is the best business move.
Devs really need to start understanding this is not what DLC is made for. They also need to fix pricing for DLC too.

Honestly if you're going to do these type of marketing tactics you'll piss people off less by announcing it after the game actually comes out.

What the fuck are they doing? Are they trying to get no one to fucking buy it? Limiting the audience to 360 players and then announcing, while they are still making the actual game that they are going to make DLC.
Went from some fucking awesome game that nobody could expect to run on their computer, with all those weather effects 'n shit. Now it's just fucked over. Can they even expect to make money off it anymore?
They probably ought to finish making the game before they start figuring out ways to suck more and more money out of their customers.

If the developers put some work into optimisation, that is.

You do realize that The Sims was the game series to spawn DLC right? The idea of DLC came from the fact that instead of buying an expansion disk for each new set of shit you could just download bite-size packages for money.
Honestly the concept of a full blown expansion is so awesome. It's a shame that model isn't used anymore.

Coupled with the years of delay, too. It seems almost certain that at this point they are rushing to release the game and maximize profit through downloadable content that should have been included.
I am actually extremely disappointed, I was following it since a few years back and I had very high hopes when I read some of the "game features" (most of which have since been removed) and the early screenshots.
I was really hyped because Remedy developed Max Payne 1 & 2, both really good games.
They kept pushing back the release date, and dropping features until I just stopped caring. I look back a year or so later and it's a 360 exclusive, hilarious.
Sadly this looks like it's barely worth a rent to me.

Just what are the marketing people doing these days? I mean seriously, there's absolutely no effort in trying to bring their product to the market without ruining their image. A lot of good companies lost their image because of this DLC and money whoring shit.
