In a bizarre television and spatial anomaly on CNN this morning, the blanket coverage of two true-crime stories led two news anchors to conduct an odd "satellite" interview from the very same parking lot, background traffic and all.
What the fuck is wrong with the news media in America?
Saw this on Reddit earlier, I couldn't even believe it... I'm embarrassed for the news company.
Makes me wonder what kind of stuff they actually get away with.
Stay classy CNN.
Most of the LIVE IN: is faked too. It's obvious.
surely they're both using green screens of the same place, but are in fact talking to each other in different studios?
lol Nancy Grace
And people are so quick to slam Fox yet CNN has garbage like her and Piers.
Nancy fuckin' Grace.
When nancy grace is on HLN I have to change the channel, she is so biased and over dramatic it makes me mad.

Seriously, she really does know how to make news annoyingly sensationalist.
It doesn't even look like they're outside. Looks like green screen
Jon Stewart's gonna love this.
Every time I see US based news programs I get really confused, it's always sorta, I don't know, built up and hacky, if that makes any sense, focusing on topics they really shouldn't when bigger things are happening.
It's green screened

Can't wait to watch the Daily Show tonight! or tomorrow if it'll be on the next episode. But you know he'll say something haha

Hmmm, didn't think about this. Wouldn't they try to use two different scenes though? Not the same background road with the same traffic, at different times. I didn't see the actual news report, though. Just the gifs provided.
Looks green screen actually.
Green screen from the same studio.

Yep. That's called 'mediation'. They're basically reporting on stuff that can have an easy narrative applied, 'cause people like easy narratives; and they're reporting on it in ridiculously 'sleek' and glamorous ways, 'cause people like shiny stuff in front of them.
Basically what I'm trying to say is that the news is trying to be this.

At night on the BBC News channel sometimes they show ABC World News
it's all about America and nothing to do with the outside world
Why on earth would they do this?
Reminds me of this:

They also make audio/video reports from warzones low quality, fuzzy or whatever, they sometimes even make live feeds cut out completely. At least they do in British news.
CNN has hit rock bottom
it's finished
I didn't know American media could go any lower.
They invested in metaphorical mining equipment and started digging as soon as they hit rock bottom
CNN has hit rock bottom

What, using green screens while reporting on the news is rock bottom? You guys have high standards, rock bottom to me would be blatant lying about the facts

Fox news is currently in China.
Give them 2 years and they'll be on the moon.
Nancy Grace is a real american hero.

You're right, modern yellow journalism is much much worse to me than partisan inaccurate journalism
