• Sony decides to allow console mods, but only for Farming Simulator 2017
The official Twitter account for Farming Simulator 2017 has confirming that the agriculture-’em-up sequel will feature mod support for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on launch. The topic of mods will probably still be a touchy subject for some, as Bethesda confirmed only last week that Sony has blocked mod support for both The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition and Fallout 4 on the PS4.
http://www.psu.com/news/31125/farming-simulator-2017-mods Now that's just icing on the cake. :hairpull:
Really? Of all the games?
Who is in charge of the bloody company?
Ahahahahaha, oh my fucking god. It's like they are deliberately taking a piss out of their customers.

They also allowed mods for Farming Sim 2015. But they were curated through a contest.
Someone should make a fallout 4 mod for it
Sony, I know you wanted to give microsoft more of a leg up in the console market, but don't you think you're going a little too far?
*snicker*
Yeah that makes everything better, thanks Sony :v:
*throws PS4 out the window*
Clearly what Sony is telling everyone to do is to crack your console to allow the running of mods because they won't allow you to do it officially.
That article doesn't make it sound like the exclusivity this thread's title implies at all. Bethesda said FO4 and Skyrim won't have mods as before and these devs said Farming Sim will have mods. There's neither a Sony statement about mod permissions (leave alone exclusivity) nor a sample size big enough to come to the conclusion that Farming Sim has exclusive mod support. I think it's more likely that the overall system hasn't changed, but FO4 and Skyrim are getting special treatment, probably due to the modding scene being so big that they introduce a lot of malicious code to the platform). It should also be noticed that Sony (according to Bethesda) didn't say that FO4 and Skyrim mods were completely off the table, but that "they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition." which could simply imply an especially strict curation system (that may still be in the works) to combat malicious content.

Sounds like a joke to be honest. One of the most anticipated mods for Farming Simulator 2017 is - Farming without EU subsidies, where you actually have to farm productively and make a profit.
I'd hazard a guess that it's closer to "Sony decides to allow mods but only within a very specific set of restrictions and only Farming Simulator 2017 accepted them"
I thought it was the Rush Limbaugh mod where you got a subsidy if you were a lesbian?
Or what about a Monsanto DLC where if Monsanto rolls into your farming region you get fucked over.
better game than fallout 4 tbh
Or what about a Monsanto DLC where if Monsanto rolls into your farming region you get fucked over.
"Your field has been cross-pollinated by the mosanto field next door. Game Over."
watch there be some massive hack that allows ps4 piracy through this
