Loved the first movie, was a bit confused when I heard there was going to be a sequel but this looks good.

I wasn't impressed when I first heard the premise for the film, but I have to admit this looks like it could be a solid thriller.
Thought it'd be "his daughter got kidnapped again whoops lol" but it seems like it'll have a good enough plot to justify itself.
Could be really good, could be terrible. Only time will tell. Glad to see it's a revenge story not her being a dumb bitch and being kidnapped again just because.
I really hope it doesn't go the way of die-hard.

I loved the first movie, i'll definitly watch this.
The first movie kinda wanted to show how horrific and easy it was for girls to get pulled into human trafficking, and it did that brilliantly, but this film seems to be just ass-kicking for it's own sake. And it looks fucking sweet.

Basically my thought process upon seeing this thread.
I mean, [i]Taken[/i] was a pretty decent film, but the main reason I liked it so much is Liam Neeson. The primary reason why I will watch this film - and I will - is become Liam Neeson.
I like Liam Neeson. He's one of the few actors for which I'll watch movies simply because he is in them. Samuel L. Jackson, Morgan Freeman, Jason Statham (my god he's been in a lot of poor movies, like [i]Crank[/i]), Daniel Craig, and Bruce Willis are the only other actors I'll do that for.
Gotta agree with the rest, Taken was a great movie, it didn't really need a sequel. But hopefully it'll be entertaining as before.
Was uncertain at first but as mentioned before the plot looks like it may be okay. I think the phone call was a bit corny though, like it's supposed to be a throwback to the first movie "Hey remember that time you were [I]taken[/I]? Yeah your mom is about to be [I]taken[/I]."
But I'm going to overlook that, because holy shit Liam Neeson is an amazing actor and when he kills people I pay attention.

However, as far as sequels go, this one surprisingly makes sense. Liam wiped out and entire division of mobsters; that shit doesn't get warped up in a bow and happily ever after. So I have some hope for this movie.
Misread the title and thought Tekken movie was getting a sequel with Liam Neeson.
Well I was a bit confused at first about how they would make a sequel, but it makes sense - I mean the guy basically rampaged through all of the human trafficking rings in France and it'd be weird if they didn't strike back
