• Straightening my hair?

Ok, so I'm a guy and I have almost shoulder length hair. I look after it and clean it almost everyday. Anyway, it's really frizzy and curly, I've tried all sorts of conditioners and shampoos that are aimed at removing said attributes, I've tried hard brushing which just makes it worse, I've tried hair spray that just doesn't feel nice and makes my hair feel like a rock even with very little of the weakest stuff I could find. So I figure straightening it might help out. I don't want to look like an idiot or too girly, does this seem like a good idea? Any tips? Thanks.
Your hair will get kinda dry and may get damaged. You can always try it.

Having fizzy hair is way more cooler than looking like one of those straight haired emo losers
I haven't noticed that (Girlfriend straightens my hair occasionally)
there's a difference between it being done occasionally and doing it every day. to be honest you can minimise the damage by conditioning it properly and using products to protect it
Having fizzy hair is way more cooler than looking like one of those straight haired emo losers
I wasn't planning on doing it to that extent, just enough to get rid of the frizz that just makes it look un tidy. I won't do it too often either, maybe once or twice a week?

Also back on track, if you're afraid of it getting damaged you can probably buy something you put in your hair before you straighten it. I think my ex had it.

I said too girly. Note the too. Besides, with all these scene kids walking around I don't think it'll make much of a difference to how other people see my sexuality. I've asked a few friends about how it can damage your hair and they all agree that if you don't do it too often and look after it with conditioner it'll be ok.

You get a <3 for trying.
Same here, OP. I have long, curly hair and no matter how cool it looks, it's getting annoying by the minute. Look for brazilian hair straightening, my gf tried it and her hair looks _Amazing_ Sorta like this:
I found something along those lines when I googled it on Youtube, kinda put me off a bit as it seems very very girly.

I'm quite fond of my curls, but that tuft of hair at the top really bugs me.

I have fairly straight hair, it's natural, and a fuck load of girls question whether I use straighteners or not.
Yeah, I always get asked if I curl mine.

I however been advised not to remove the curly wave shit. Girls dig that part. Just not the mess. Girls use these weird conditioners or whatever they are. Oils or something i dunno. Wrong place to ask for advise i guess. Not many girls here.

straightened hair is for wimps
straightened hair is for wimps
I'm sure you know alot about manliness. Because tending to your looks means you're a whimp right, even though it'd help you get girls easier :downs:
