I sometimes wonder why I live on the same planet as these people.
Why should he have to pay, he didn't want to be a father right?

/sarcasm?
Why should he have to pay, he didn't want to be a father right?
Was that an actual question?
Why should he have to pay, he didn't want to be a father right?
Because if he's not going to help raise the child, he has to at least pay for it.
boy i bet he feels stupid!

He's commenting on how the system works. A man has to pay child support even if he doesn't want the child, but a woman can choose to get an abortion if the man wants to keep the kid.

except most abortions occur when both the mother and father agree or the father abandons the mother?
He should be paying his baby Mama. What an irresponsible and stupid idiot.

cause its the women's body, also most tend to forget that the reasoning behind it is "the child's interests are the most important thing".

what do you propose we do? let a nation of single mothers take care of children without any financial assistance from irresponsible partners?
what do you propose we do? let a nation of single mothers take care of children without any financial assistance from irresponsible partners?
what about the cases where the woman sabotages the condoms, or stores the sperm to "trap" a man into paying child support, thus ruining his lively hood?
Simple as it is: You've had sex, she gave birth, now you're father, no matter what. Of course it's up to the woman to have an abortion or not, but it's her body after all. It's somewhat stupid, yes, but at the same time you cannot force someone to have an abortion or to keep a baby they don't want, right? Wouldn't be any more humane.
And once you're a father, you are required to be one. If you can't be one, you still have to take care of your kid, no matter what. Why should the child suffer and the community pay just so you can jerk around more and more and put even more kids into this world without you having the capability of taking care of it?
Therefore it's justified that this man gets what he's asking for. Why the fuck do people even make such photos?

Yes, it's up to the woman whether or not to have an abortion. With that in mind, how is it fair to charge a man a large portion of his income for 21 years for a decision made entirely without him? If any single person - man or woman - can't afford a child, they shouldn't have one in the first place.

it's very scary how easy it is to ruin a condom, just a little vasaline around the vaginal lips is easy enough to degrade a condom into nothing, or baby oil, or lying about taking her birth control, or taking the used condom and fucking getting it stored at a sperm bank like that one woman did, hell a woman ever stored sperm in her mouth and used THAT to get pregnant. apparently it doesn't matter if foul play was used by the woman to get pregnant, the "father" is completely fucked in the end.
oh and another thing that'll boil your blood, when a man has to pay child support but the woman refuses him access to visit his children. women almost always get exclusive custody to the child and can refuse a man access to his children but force him to pay for them at the same time, it's insanity.

Then the woman should be (I am not sure if it happens, sadly), tried for fraud or whatever, because it's foul play with money in question.

I am pretty sure that in that case, the other parent can complain and the court should make the mother required to share the kid with the father (for example required to set up it so the kid spends weekends with father), unless the mother can prove the father would have bad influence on the kid. (A junkie dad would probably be told to fuck off, but a modest, employed, clean father would quite probably get the access to the child guaranteed).

Generally it should stay a common sense that you watch out where you stick your wongodongo as if women are involved, it always comes with a nasty risk of sudden BABIES.
If you fuck people you don't trust to not to try to lock you into unwanted parenthood AND deny you from the child, then you should reconsider your approach towards your relationships.
If somebody takes your sperm from the sperm bank to impregnate themselves, THEN it's time for righteous fury, but the moment you casually stick it in a girl, you should be ready for the consequences.

these are more than rare enough to not matter

even though that seems to be happening a lot;
I got to work with someone who had a child in Grade 11, they had sex in Grade 10 and she gave birth at the end of Grade 11. After Grade 12, he went to work immediately help support his child.
So, there are some great dads out there willing to sacrifice a future, for their flesh and blood at times.

probably happens less than men pressuring women into abortions
Here comes FPs teenage male persecution complex again.
If you're not prepared to pay for child support then stop putting your baby maker into people.

If you're not prepared to bear a child then stop letting people put things in your baby maker.
Its a two way street,

huh?
But she did bear the child, so now what?
I was juxtaposing because you basically said a male should be prepared to be forced to bear responsibility for a child if they have sex with a woman, while a woman has the option to drop responsibility.

By drop responsibility you mean abortion?
Because I don't like where this is going.

You're responsible for your own reproductive health. You choose when to have sex and who to have sex with. If you can't trust that someone would violate your trust you probably shouldn't be having sex with them or you should take control of your own contraception. The welfare of a child is the responsibility of both parents, and you do not get to choose when a woman gets an abortion and no you do not get to 'financially' abort.

A woman has the option because she gets control of her body. You have the option to not have sex or to use your own contraception, you could get a temporary vasectomy and have it reversed when/if you decide to have children.
The welfare of a child is the responsibility of both parents
the problem i have is that there are many willing fathers out there who are simply told that they cannot provide for the welfare of their child and instead have to pay child support.
certainly both parents should be responsible, but the state is not incredibly good at ensuring that both are responsible.

Except it's completely unfair how the choice is entirely in the woman's hands, if she doesn't want a baby there is no choice from the man, if she wants the baby there is still no choice from the man and the man has to pay child support. Why should one have more power than the other when they both were involved equally? You say if a male here isn't prepared to pay child support then don't do it, but if a woman isn't prepared to pay child support then do it she can get an abortion if something goes wrong? Why should a mans life rest in someone elses hands? A woman will likely have no lasting side effects from an abortion, but a mans life can be ruined from child support if he is not financially prepared. A man should be allowed to give the woman the option to either abort, or let the child be born and have no relations with the father including financially. Again, both played an equal part so why does one person have more control than the other?

um it's not one person who has a choice. men are totally entitled to abort babies that live inside their womb. if they are pregnent then they are allowed complete sovereignty over their body, or at least should.

have you been listening to tom lykis or something how often do you think women store used condoms for future impregnation?? there was like one case of it in 2005 and now apparently we don't need child support laws anymore? ignoring how ridiculous a scenario you put forth, yeah, that kind of stuff is really fucked up, sabotaging condoms and storing semen (which i think is more of an urban myth propagated by tom lykis and other morons after the 2005 case), but like i asked: what do you propose we do about it? i don't think we can throw out child support laws just because there is a very small population of women in the country who are willing to do forcefully impregnate themselves just for child support money. i think the number of legitimate cases wherein child support is due vastly outweighs the number of sperm collection stories, so my advice would be to bring your own condom and flush it before you go home?
it's very scary how easy it is to ruin a condom, just a little vasaline around the vaginal lips is easy enough to degrade a condom into nothing, or baby oil, or lying about taking her birth control, or taking the used condom and fucking getting it stored at a sperm bank like that one woman did, hell a woman ever stored sperm in her mouth and used THAT to get pregnant. apparently it doesn't matter if foul play was used by the woman to get pregnant, the "father" is completely fucked in the end.

1. they should make it illegal to store sperm that wasn't delivered onsite to prevent that sort of thing
2. yeah if you're paying child support you should have the right to see your child
like yeah i get it the spectre of a woman sabotaging you into having a baby you didn't want is terrifying and all but do you really think that these sabotage cases outnumber legitimate child support requests?

people keep saying this but honestly what's your point? that's nature. sorry. there's nothing we can do about it without abolishing child support (bad) or letting men force women into abortions (really fucking bad)
Reminds me of this.
