• My Parents Play LIMBO - Also final episode

This is the last episode I'm making for the series, yay it was fun. I already owned LIMBO on XBLA, but I decided it was worth a buy on Steam, too. My parents, dad in particular, don't feel that comfortable in taking part in these videos. Mostly because they think they're risking their jobs. I'm not going to force them into making these, that's just dumb. I'm also kind of glad this is ending because it will give me time to work on more varied projects. I can't do these forever, either, it would've ended some time. I'll show this thread to my parents, in the small chance that they'll want to continue making them. I will not pressure them in any way. I've achieved 400 subscribers, and about 35,000 video views from this series. That was a very cool number to see grow, and many of the improvements to the videos were because of the feedback I've gotten from here. Thanks.
I'm not sure how your dad would be risking his job. If his employer saw him in these videos, firstly I'm not sure on what grounds he would risk his job and secondly it shouldn't matter how he acts outside of his workplace.
Really fantastic videos, have enjoyed them all. Thanks for the fun c: [editline]14th January 2013[/editline]
I'm not sure how your dad would be risking his job. Its pretty cool seeing your parents reactions to some of these games, very entertaining. Plus they seem to handle some of the more intense stuff with a good amount of humor. Make sure to tell them we said thanks for taking part in some good videos and being good sports. Not a lot of parents take the time to play video games, let alone judge them in their individual merit and not flip out.
It ended on a nice note at least. Tell your parents thank you for us.
It's better to have it end this way then to have it end through becoming boring and milked. Give your dad a pat on the back and a collective 'thank you' from FP, he's a great man from what we've seen. Good luck on your future projects man, thanks for the fun.
fp loves you and your parents
It's unfortunate that it's ending, but at the same time, it's a good time to end it. To you and your parents, thanks for doing this.
I could never imagine having a job where posting videos of myself enjoying things could be detrimental to my employment. Also, thank you for the videos, your parents seem really nice you're a very lucky person to have such great parents who are willing to collaborate with their son on his ideas.
Seen all the threads, but have never posted before. I really appreciate what you and your parents have done. It may not seem like a lot, but I always enjoyed you're videos and they helped brighten my day just a little bit more. And tell your father he's awesome.
I want to high five your dad. I'll miss this series :(
It was always interesting to see your parents playing videogames and ofcourse it did also brighten my day up! Both of your parents were both awesome, and also because they collaborate with you to achieve this far. I thank you and your parents! And i´ve enjoyed watching your videos!
It's a shame this series had to die. It was always so funny and heartwarming to see these videos. Not to mention people who've watched it get to see how you've improved the qualities of the videos by keeping good pacing and flow. I noticed you use a lot of jump cuts to cut out you helping your parents out, while still not making it obnoxious like RWJ jump cuts.
All good things must come to an end, they're really good sports for participating in your videos, I hope you make more great series like this in the future
I really want to tempt my dad to do this. He likes video games (Mostly Racing games and GOW) but to record would be a different matter, he is shy. Loved watching these! Glad it ended on such a good game.
Knew it had to end sometime, but it was fun whilst it lasted! Many thanks to Mike and his parents for brightening up a boring day.
These were always great, sad to see them go, but it was great while it lasted.
Your parents are funny and awesome. It's sad to see it end.
I fell off the chair in last 2 seconds of the video
Truly a sad world we live in when sharing fun experiences can risk your job. Was fun while it lasted, and props to your parents for willingly being put on Youtube.
Your parents are lovely  I love how your dad is still able to go kidmode and be all destroyer of everything and still have fun at that.
Your parents were REALLY cool to let you do this as long as you did though. Do you think you'd be able to get them to maybe play a game out of their norm every once in a while and write about it? perspective from a parent? :)
Your mom got good.
Haha I loved how your mom pretty much aced this game while your dad struggled :v: Nice contrast to the rest of the series. Sad you didn't make it to the spider part yet though :( That would have been funny to see.
It was tons of fun while it lasted. Thanks for all the laughs. I'll definitely miss this series.
Your mom was better than I was when I first played it... Also I can't wait for what you make next, all of your videos and series are amazing.
Your dad kinda resembles Brian Wilson
Your mom really stepped up her game. Props to her, she seems pretty good at platformers.
I feel like if parents would play games like this they wouldn't be so behind in terms or dealing with GUI's and whatnot. It's basically training for the DVD menu and smartphones! Basic problem solving with something that accepts your input. Also props to you for doing this, I enjoyed your dad going YAAAAH with the saw blades in Ravenholm. Humble of you to recognize his dilemma and respect it to the fullest.
Thank you for doing this for Facepunch, I'm amazed you didn't get more subscribers to be honest, I'll miss seeing a new one of these threads pop up every so often
