Oh wow. It's not that hard, you learn that in like, 3rd Grade.
:geno:
Judging by some people today, it wouldn't suprise me if they were trying to get away with it
Late much?

The original recording was much funnier than reading text
Lol.
"Do you recognize the difference between a dollar and a cent?"
"Yes."
"Do you recognize the difference between half a dollar and half a cent?"
"Yes."
"Do you then recognize the difference between 0.002 dollars and 0.002 cents?"
"No."
Wtf man.
:downs:
Oh my... this is...

Some people who are not native English speakers can maybe appreciate the text? Can't you look somewhere else if you don't want to read the text?
This made me just as confused as the Verizon people but at least I would have the balls to admit I was wrong and rightfully charge him.
wow fucking dumbasses.
You know them failing at math didn't make me rage as much as him threatening to "post this on his blog", i mean jesus christ since when were blogs deadly weapons.

He wasn't threatening them. He was frustrated of the talk, and he wanted them to see that other people also thing they are wrong.
I would have asked if she understood the difference between .002 centimetres and .002 metres.

The internet is the strongest weapon ever.
This is surprising. How could Verizon hire such incompetent people?
I can see how it would be confusing, but when you're dealing with other people's money it is unacceptable.
This would've been better if he didn't threaten them with his MIGHTY BLOG OF POWER. He should've just been persistent with his point, and if they cut him off he could've taken the problem to corporate.
72 cents :science:
Humanity has a very bleak future at this rate.
It was hard to follow at first but then I got what there saying. And my god those people were stupid. btw, for any of you who can't do math, he would/has paid $1.12
I can see why they would get confused. If you simply times that .002 cents by the usage it equals 71.791
But they forgot that they're still using cents.

Maybe they could confuse that, but I don't see how anyone with a double digit IQ could think that .002 dollars is the same as .002 cents.

Hmm, ironic.
How the fuck they do not understand this. .002 dollars and .002 cents are totally different, because you can fucking see its the same number and different unit of measure. You don't need "to be a mathematician," you just need the IQ of a mentally challenged 13 year old.
It was hard to follow at first but then I got what there saying. And my god those people were stupid. btw, for any of you who can't do math, he would/has paid $1.12
He would have paid 71.786 cents...
or ~$.72... Where did you learn math :raise:
They're obviously acting stupid as an excuse to pump out as much money as they can get from people who don't have half a brain. I'm sure this happens all the time. It's pretty easy to overlook a number with it's decimal point shifted 2 places to the right if you're not careful. If they can even fool one person into paying something outrageously above the required amount, they'll make 72$ easy. Imagine how much money they get from anyone else who doesn't know how to do math, especially with how bad education is doing in our country right now. If they fool around 1,000 people, that's like 72,000 in profit right there. So this is why they give people the run around.
Honestly, marketing shenanigans like this are bullshit.
So to help people out with garbage like this, my advice would be to always make sure to carefully read those numbers on your bills.
*Verizon Conspiracy Idea*
They get sued for doing this. As in sued for twice as much money as they made from it.
