"Super fucking excited"
Why is him saying that such a turn off?
I wonder if they are going to have basic firearms like in rust.

Why in the hell would there be firearms if this is set in the stone age?
Why in the hell would there be firearms if this is set in the stone age?
Because this is Far Cry and Far Cry is not exactly a realistic game.
How are we going to map out areas if there are no towers to climb?

The mechanic is getting old.

Climbing shit in games is something I do regardless, so I've never minded. I really don't get the issue with the mechanic itself. From a gameplay standpoint it may be not be very engaging but there's really nothing outwardly offensive about it unless you have the attention span of a goldfish.
I wonder how they're going to make this game appeal to fans since it seems a lot less action movie oriented.
I really hope this game is a huge unexpected hit, so we may see Infinity Ward come out with COD Stone-Age Warefare

It wasn't what he said, it was the delivery. He didn't sound "super fucking excited".
The game still looks super cool though, since the setting is so unique and awesome.
what bugged me most about the "fucking" there was that they didn't include it in the subtitles.
I fear that the gameplay is going to get pretty repetitive. The hand to hand combat is goign to have to feel really good to be sustainable through a game as long as far cry is.
This could be an interesting turn for the series, but I really hope it's not a mirror of 4. There being a lack of firearms should mix things up a bit, and hopefully you shouldn't be able to be a walking army so easily any more. I've always been a fan of Far Cry, but the differences - or more specifically lack there of - from 3 and 4 was just lame. 4 would have been better as a sub-titled game, not a straight numbered sequel. That and 4 was just too easy to progress. I was still in the prelude and had 2-3 of the animal skin upgrades, and that was just me dicking around and not actively trying. :/ I had a million before Act 1, it was silly.
Maybe I'm just the minority though, I'm finding more and more games are slowly getting way to easy to progress unlock-wise. Hell, in Mad Max I was Road Warrior before I beat the Jaw mission. I had I think, 2 territories left in the southern half of the map by the time I hit RW, it wasn't really designed around people who like to complete an area first, then move on.
Do most people just power through missions until they hit a "get this upgrade first to continue"?
