Welp I do like the accomplishment of getting a 5 on my work
Also, Estonia uses a 5 grade system.
1: You failed horribly, go die.
2: You suck, jump off a bridge.
3: Good enough.
4: Okay, good job!
5: OH MOTHERLAND.
Selection 5: You put it in the wrong fucking forum again. Goddamnit. I spend too much time in the news board.
I don't think so, but I do feel it provides some motivation. People who care about their grade or GPA are more then likely to study and work their ass off. Though I do believe the education system itself needs to be revamped. School is a fucking joke these days, kids hardly learn anything important. They only learn what is on the test so they can pass the test and nothing else.
Lock thread.
Fuck this biased poll. wheres the option that I think grading is awesome and helps motivate children.

I don't want a letter to represent my knowledge, formally they may think I know nothing; when I speak to my professors they stand baffled by the amount of information I retain and used regularly, but then are stunned when my grades are lacking.
The formal education system is flawed and incredibly broken, it's time we start evaluating students on their knowledge outside the formal boundaries of school, writing shit on paper is one thing, actually applying your knowledge to every day life is different and indefinitely more important.
