This year marks the 20th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s fourteenth and final album, Division Bell. Beyond a deluxe reissue, David Gilmour apparently plans to mark the occasion with a brand new LP entitled The Endless River, which will be released in October. The news was revealed by Gilmour’s wife, Polly Samson, on Twitter. Samson added that the album is based on 1994 sessions with Pink Floyd’s Richard Wright.
i just listened to some of they're songs on youtube and they sound like a relaly mediocre one direction
Awesome, I listen to Pink Floyd almost exclusively, so this is pretty great.
Well this made my day. I hope it's better than The Division Bell. It was a great album but I found it kind of mediocre compared to their earlier releases.
OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD
This is gonna rock so fucking hard.
I guess this is cool, but it will be weird hearing them without John Lennon
I loved Clockwork Angels
I'm really optimistic about the release as I do love them, but I have a hard time believing that any new album from them could even be nearly as good as their older classics.

Well they've had 20 years to think of new song ideas.
just gilmour and his wife are not pink floyd...
I don't know. I love that they're doing it, but something tells me it'll be shit.
new beatles album out next month, it'll be just ringo.

they're rehashing a shelved unreleased ambient album.
if roger was onboard then hell yeah.. but no.
It's just not the same without Roger
I just don't see why he had to tack the Floyd name onto it. Gilmour can easily sell out a venue with just his own name, and the media would have latched on to this project regardless. The guy's great, but this is just silly.
Besides, the Floyd was a lot like a machine. When all its parts were attached and working together, it put out a hell of a product; take out parts, it doesn't function at full capacity, and you don't get nearly as good a product in the end, assuming you get one at all.

There's three surviving band members and this album has two of them. So it's 66% Pink Floyd.
I just don't know if I can take them seriously as a band anymore, especially after the whole "Megalolz" thing.
And why are they doing this?...
(Cash register noises)
MONEY!!!

Pink Floyd? Definitely not
Shit? Hell fucking no.
It's good because it's old
Robert Plant and Jimmy Page announce new album for Fall 2014.
"Led Zeppelin releasing a new album!"

Bad metaphor, since "machine" and "product" implies soulless, which is exactly what they were against in the album Wish You Were Here.
I guess we'll see how it turns out
it has rick's shit so it can't be a total train wreck, I hope

I'm pretty sure JPJ would be in on that too if they did do that.
Man Gilmour physically can't write, and Waters is such a drama queen he'd never work with him again. I think Pink Floyd needs to be laid to rest, it hurts to say but its true.

Led Zeppelin is my favorite band - I'd be psyched for a new album from those three but I'm not sure if it'd be "the same" without Bonzo honestly, and that's why they haven't done it. All three of them have stated they can't be Led Zeppelin without Bonzo.
This is dumb
but I'll probably still buy it
I love me some nice dadrock

If you saw the O2 arena performance they had 06, Bonzo's Son Jason does a pretty good job at filling in

Anyone else cringe every time someone mentions that phrase?
