Part 1 of 2

I like this series. They make good points and talk about things that most people who play games don't want to talk about or haven't thought of before.
It's a shame The Escapist fucked them over, this series was the main reason I actually went there.
what happened any way?
Well, there was this fund raiser thing for their artist. They got well over what their goal was, so the escapist wanted 75%. In shock to that reply, they also noticed that they had only payed them for two episodes, so they decided to leave.
The part about the brain not being addicted is so true. I used that in an argument when I was in debate club, but I didn't get up to talk in front of the school because apparently it "wasn't researched correctly."

I think they said they would clear that up in an episode eventually. It was something about The Escapist not paying them as promised.

Remember that fund raising thing they did to fix there artists arm? Well they got more then they needed and from what I hear the escapist wanted 75% of the money that came from that because they helped make tshirts or something. Well extra credits wants to use the money to help indie devs by making a school for them. In order to keep the money they had to split with the escapist.

I thought that he didn't got payed by escapist. After he did the fund raising, escapist said "Well, we allowed you to make that fund raising, so we guess that's as good as if we actually paid you".
Then they split.

But anyway, can't wait for next weeks episode. These guys make a lot of good points, things that should be discussed more by the community.

Wow, bunch of dicks. good for them for leaving.
Subscribing now. How did I not know about this before?
What's with the dude's chipmunkish voice. It's like he slightly pitched it up or something.
I babysit 2 young kids and they seem to be very attached to videogames.
Their mom is great with them and tries to keep their time on the TV monitored, but it still seems like ever time I take them to the playground or play football with them they treat it like it's a chore.
I think maybe giving kids opportunities to find things outside of technology that they enjoy doing is a key to keeping them from becoming too attached to them.
I used to spend a ton of time playing games and sitting at my computer, but when my dad signed me up for basketball and base ball I really enjoyed them and I find that my quality of life has really gone up ever sense I took an interest in sports.
he's pretty much talking about the same stuff in every of his videos..
the art is ADORABLE
and it makes good points
Uh, didn't this guy ALREADY cover this?
And didn't he quit playing video games too?
Why is he doing this again?
It might have been WoW... but I remember this, or something extremely similar.
I'm not addicted, I...I can stop whenever I want...
He raises a lot of good points. I mean, playing through Red Dead Redemption and Metal Gear Solid 3 with my mum watching me go through it hours on end was a fun time, and it felt far different than playing alone.

Well it's not like crack has an exit button.
I should show this to my dad. He likes to say I'm addicted to games a LOT. He comes home at the end of the day and sees me on my computer and assumes that I have been playing video games all day. He thinks that everything I do on the computer, from photoshoping to browsing facepunch is video games. Its really frustrating.

I tried the same, then I had to shoot a bird for a mission and she pulled the power plug out :v:

If anything they are worse then videogames.

For the lulz of course, or he just wants to use it so no one finds out his identity.

His full name is Daniel Floyd. So much for not finding out his identity.

Mother:Go on son, kick his ass!

or
"Play games with them"
Mother:How do I shoot? How do I run? Who's that guy? Is he on our team?

This is what happens when the family is made out of cunts who should all be dissolved in a vat of lye and repurposed as pig slop.

Because people need to understand and be good at videogames even before they experience them.

Same. Browsing online? Games. Listening to music? Games. Researching a subject? Games. Etc...
If I'm on the PC and my dad walks into the room, he'll ask me what I'm doing. A minute later, if I've so much as changed websites, he'll ask me what I'm doing with the excuse being "well it's a different thing".
But my dad brought me up on PS1 and PS2, and my grandpa showed me the classic DOS gaming. I still remember the first command prompt line I ever learned from him. D:/start.exe. It's what ran the shareware game CD called "Game Empire". It's really about putting limits on games at a younger age, and then building up the trust to allow a kid to have more time to play them. That way he can appreciate the value of being able to play them.

On one hand I agree with you, on the other hand, physical activity can be a dick. Every sports team I've joined has lost almost all of the matches it's played, so I figure I'm cursed and might as well not drag down others with me. Last time I went outside (This morning, for a jog) I was minding my own business and a bee decided to sting me.
