"Street engine" as in, not really made for the streets. It just happens to be street legal.
The thing is with this build, Almost every run on the drag strip, or a small time on the road, you have to almost rebuild the engine. This amount of horsepower is not reliable even with a big block V8. I'm surprised a 86 valiant chassis can even handle this amount of power.

check this video out
The owner is driving me bonkers.
Lets clean all of our parts and then touch them with our bare hands. Lets get all these sensitive parts in place while I smoke a cigar and introduce possible FOD. If you got this much money invested into a drag car, at least rebuild the engine with some fucking dignity. Wear gloves, stop smoking above it.

honestly a little oil on your hands isn't gonna hurt the engine. smoking over it drives me nuts though

How is cigar smoke a fod risk?
It's a huge room the smoke will dissipate to the point where it doesn't matter. Not to mention it's his engine and it looks like it works alright sooo. :chillout:

smoke is a particle
particles contaminate oil

Right, but what's the realistic chances of that happening?

Let me rephrase then. Do you know of an instance of that ever actually happening?
There's so much America in this video.
