A US passenger plane was forced to land after a "flying creature", believed to be a bat, began swooping through the cabin. A passenger filmed the panic unfolding on the Delta Airlines jet on Friday as the animal flew up and down the aisle to the sound of people screeching and screaming. The passenger, who has not been named, posted the footage to a CNN website with a short description of what happened. "I woke up to a small scream and then I saw the bat fly over my head," he wrote. "I grabbed my phone to get some video as my friends would never believe this." The bat flew up and down the aisle four to five times before it became trapped in the bathroom toward the back of the plane. The flight was heading to Atlanta, Georgia but had to return to Madison, Wisconsin, where it took off, so the animal could be removed from the plane. A spokesman for Delta's partner Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Jarek Beem, confirmed the flight had returned to Madison because a "flying creature" was reported in the cabin. The plane was fully searched before departing again. "We were unable to confirm if it was a bird or a bat," Mr Beem said.
Source: http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/8283505/bat-in-the-cabin-forces-plane-to-land I wonder what would happen if it was the Bat Man...

Just leave it be. It's not going to hurt you. The thing was probably scared out of it's mind.

It was me
One time my idiot friend was driving when a horsefly started buzzing around and being the pussy that he is, he panicked and ran in to a ditch. I don't know I was just reminded of that.
JUst open the window, the bat will fly out, along with a great deal of the rest of the people on the airline

Bats eat bugs... they don't eat people. Bats eat bugs... they don't get stuck in your hair. Bats eat bugs... they have insects for dinner. Thats why they're flying... Thats why they're flying... Thats why they're flying... Up there.
Just leave it be. It's not going to hurt you. The thing was probably scared out of it's mind.
If it's scared out of its mind, then yes, it has the capacity to hurt someone.
If it's scared out of its mind, then yes, it has the capacity to hurt someone.
What, by flying into them or something? Bats are hardly known for being agressive.
I've had enough of these monkey flying bats on this monday to friday plane
Yo dawg, we heard you like flying, so we put a bat in your plane, so you can fly while you fly.
So a bat was flying inside a plane already in the air :pwn:
Screaming at a Bat? Are there any known incidents of a Bat fatally injuring a human being? Seriously, I wanna know.
the animal flew up and down the aisle to the sound of people screeching and screaming.
It's a bat, people, not a Tiger.
It's a bat, people, not a Tiger.
Exactly. I can't believe that people's first reaction to seeing a goddamn bat is to run around and scream. They're tiny! And also adorable.
Did he have to take his shoes off before boarding? Was he only allowed to carry small bottles? If not, could terrorists use bats to take down planes in future?
