Authorities in Jacksonville, Florida, said on Wednesday they are investigating allegations that three male employees of a local high school were having sex separately with three different female students. Jacksonville police are investigating a former dean of students, a former math teacher and a former part-time football coach at Westside High School over the allegations, according to reports by Duval County Public Schools. The three men either resigned or were fired this year in the course of investigations, the reports said. Allegations against the math teacher, Kenneth Anderson Jr., and the coach, Clarence Thomas, who is also a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office corrections officer, were validated by the Florida Department of Children and Families, the reports state. Last year almost 800 U.S. school employees were prosecuted for sexual assault, about two thirds of them men.
source
It's always Florida. Isn't it?
First teachers were fucking the students, now the school's fucking the students too.
Whoops. Bit of a fuckup with the title.
Bricks are constantly hard... Although in all seriousness, why are we consistently surprised by this sort of thing? It's obviously an ongoing issue in our schools today, so rather than shock and disgust, we should be moving towards determining why. It's nice to know that schools are trying to block teachers from connecting with students on facebook, but that does fuckall if they trade cell numbers. The fact that the coach is also a cop only adds to my suspicion that professionalism (and the boundaries that go along with that) are not taught or enforced as well as they should be in our teachers or police force. I personally blame the hyper-sexualization of youth from a cultural standpoint as well as the lack of discipline with our professionals.
To be frank, we can express our shock and disgust AND wonder why it happens. They aren't segregated as you might think.
First teachers were fucking the students, now the school's fucking the students too.
Aren't they supposed to fuck students over? I mean the batteries of tests, the soul crushing buildings, the sleep deprivation, are these not normal?
Good Ol' Jacksonville.
Jacksonville is one of the worst places in Florida, I'm not surprised

What is the law on buildings having sex with minors?

Boy I just love this city Theres a reason why Filthy Frank labeled it worse than hell. Please, get me out of here
I live in Jax, went to the school, and had Anderson as a teacher. He's a very nice man and one of those teachers everyone loves. He told me directly through facebook that he got mixed up in texting, claiming he never engaged in anything sexual. It's all over one student, not multiple. I don't know what to believe though, this is actually super shocking for me personally. Now that I think about, I don't really believe him but I'm so conflicted since I know these guys.
