McDonald's monopoly. It's as lucrative of an idea as it is addictive (to a lot of people). I found the stash of game pieces in the car my brother has been amassing, and it turns out we've got 2/3 of the pieces for some sweet prizes, and we have one of the two $1,000,000 pieces.
But it donned on me that their Monopoly promotion ends in two weeks. Since my family isn't a bunch of obese fucks, we probably won't be going there again before it ends. So, I figure hey, why don't I post what we have and see if we can pull our pieces together to help each other get these fuckin' prizes?
In the case of cash prizes, I'd think we could make even splits. For example, say someone has 2/3 of the $10,000 pieces, and someone gives him the third. That someone would be entitled to $3,333. In my case, if someone had the other $1,000,000 piece, I'd gladly split the prize with them 50/50. But I'm really not sure what we'd do about things like spa and vacation prizes... The two participants could share it I guess but it'd be pretty awkward I imagine :v:

The way it works is that they give out thousands of pieces for 2/3rds of the big prize ones, therefore everyone thinks they've almost won, and then they only give out 2 or 3 of the final needed piece. So I'm guessing EVERYONE will have 2/3 of the pieces for some sweet prizes, but no one will have the one we actually need. So this won't work.

I really hate to ruin it but the odds of winning the million-dollar Monopoly prize in 2009 were 1 in more than 542 million. They only release a few of those high price ones.

I'm pretty sure there was something like this with McDonalds a few years back, and they got in a lot of shit for it. They wouldn't try it again.

Oh we're so envious.
This whole thing is a scam, by the way. Out of every set, they'll print a ton of all but one piece. Park Place is probably the most common piece, just so you think "wow, halfway to a million!", but the Boardwalk piece might have been printed a total of 3 times. Hell, I think it was last year that McDonald's got in trouble because they never printed Boardwalk at all.
Although the free food is p cool.

Nah I seriously won $25,000 but they take quite a large sum out for taxes.
In the end I got around 18,000, now its just sitting in the bank with the rest of my money.
