But when it comes to questions such as [what happened to the dinosaurs], not so much. In fact, back in May of this year, Google had a biblical answer for that and swapped it to a more scientific answer. Which itself got a ton of publicity and critics. But now, if you search for the same query, Google ranks an article about the issue and the article clearly says "Google is Wrong About What Happened to the Dinosaurs..." so google's servers find relevant info in an automatic process and you decide to quote a search engine blog to start a religious argument thread A+
A tempest in a shotglass. It's regurgitating what people feed it. Nothing interesting here. At least the nigger house incident was comical.
I really don't think there's anyone here who'd deny the existence of dinosaurs due to religion, theist or not.
Yeah, I remember when googling "How old is the earth" returned 6000 years via Answers in genesis.
I really don't think there's anyone here who'd deny the existence of dinosaurs due to religion, theist or not.
Yes, but technically traditional creationism doesn't leave a lot of room for dinosaurs, it's just a case of interpretation and AI doesn't do interpretation too well.
i didnt even know there was a google answers
Raptor Jesus absolve our sins
google answers just parses popular articles, it even provides the link to the article google doesn't come up with any of the results
i'm so confused, why is this of significance
i'm so confused, why is this of significance
because saying that the bible is wrong is offensive and the entire world must cater to the needs of christian worshipers
It's not really an exact science.
Yes, but technically traditional creationism doesn't leave a lot of room for dinosaurs, it's just a case of interpretation and AI doesn't do interpretation too well.
Young Earth creationism is not "traditional" creationism, unless by traditional you mean starting roughly in the 1800's, being ignored largely, then revived spectacularly in the 1940's. It relies on a blithely simple view of "biblical word = literal word" for literally every page and every statement. The Catholic church, the longest running Christian body, fully recognizes an "old" and robust world full of wonders and scientific curiosities. It's more a Baptist and Evangelical slant, since those faiths put more value in the "divinely inspired word." The only people offended by the scientific recognition of an old earth, and all the things with it, are anti-scientific fundamentalists using faith as a shield and sword to kill the science that threatens their orderly society.
At least the nigger house incident was comical.
The what?
The what?
Google Maps had an incident a few months back where someone found out that if you looked up 'Nigga House' on google maps, it took you to the White House.
I really don't think there's anyone here who'd deny the existence of dinosaurs due to religion, theist or not.
Nah, they'd never manage to lie about reality to that extent, they just pretend that Satan or some of his minions went around and hid all the fossils in the earth to trick humanity into worshiping him.
