Well, time for some exciting news everyone. Lords of the Fallen was released three days ago and surprisingly enough, CI Games' latest action RPG has not been cracked yet. That's a real accomplishment, considering that most PC games are cracked just mere hours after their official release.
Lords of the Fallen uses a new DRM solution from Denuvo. According to its description, this DRM has new code protection features to stop the latest cracking software and cracker issues. This DRM was also used in FIFA 15; a game that has yet to be cracked. [it was released on 23 September]
Lords of the Fallen is also plagued by various performance issues. Some users reported that this DRM may be the cause of the game's crashes and poor performance. CI Games, on the other hand, offered a guide via which players can disable PhysX effects in order to improve stability.
The company is also working on a patch that will - hopefully - fix all of the game's issues. The official Twitter account is currently filled with posts about the game's stability issues. Therefore, our Performance Analysis will be slightly delayed. For the time being, we strongly suggest waiting until you jump in and purchase it.
Whether this new DRM is the cause of the game's major issues is yet to be proved.

Hi guys got some news for PC players.
Rockstar will use new DRM system in GTA 5 for PC. This system is Denuvo, which also used in FIFA 15 and Lords of the Fallen.
This System uses special code which changes every time so this DRM is still not hacked, and I think it wont be.
No more piracy on PC and only way you can play GTA 5 its Steam.
Got this info today. Also today Denuvo updated partners on their site. Rockstar now here too. So its confirmed.

now how many legit customers get fucked over by it?
Doesn't this DRM make the game run like shit though? I have Lords of the Fallen on steam and it doesn't run anywhere near as well as it should.
They said the same thing about CD keys back in the day. Just because this one is harder doesn't mean it won't be done.
Oh god, the Microsoft logo they're using.
What they're using is pretty damn creative for a DRM solution, but it's going to be pissed all away the second such a crack sees the light of day.

Apparently literally all of them considering it makes games run like absolute ass.
From the Denuvo website:
Denuvo is the new company formed from a management buyout of the Sony DADC DigitalWorks team, the team that developed best-of-breed copy protection systems like SecuROM for games and Screen Pass for movies.
:suicide:
It will be cracked
Nothing is uncrackeable and saying " Its totally uncrackeable " is nothing more than a more exciting challenge for pirates / crackers
Give it a month or two, hell even ubisoft always online DRM was cracked
They're just asking for trouble, ain't they?
Still, props for them.
time for the pc gaming community to scream like a banshee getting kicked in the dick
I guarantee if GTA5 uses it then it'll be cracked quite quickly
I like how people immediately assume the DRM is the cause of the stability issues
Just accept it, they made a decent drm
Its just because its a new type of DRM so its gonna take a while longer.
Took Riddick Dark Athena a month to get cracked cause it used a new type of DRM for example.
Theirs no confirmation either that this is the cause, theirs hundreds of reasons why it could run like shit unrelated to DRM.
interestingly enough, their website doesn't claim it to be uncrackable

they know it isn't uncrackable, instead they know it gives enough time to get units sold
wait PBS is one of the DRM system's partners?
wait PBS is one of the DRM system's partners?
They do DRM for other stuff like video and ebooks as well

Some of the companies listed make me wonder...Ford? Pearson (though I suppose for PowerSchool)?
Not sure about this. I don't think Fifa 15 is extremely popular or worth it to be cracked so i suppose most groups don't bother with it. Don't know about this other game though, but it has been out only a few days so will see. If a very popular game like GTA V will use this then i highly doubt it will go uncracked for more than a week.
If it kills performance as much as some claim, I have low hopes for GTAV if it will use this shit.

1. Are you seriously assuming the PC community consists entirely of pirates
2. Banshees don't have dicks, they're always female
yeah it'll last a bit then someone cracks it and it won't work well for any game anymore

The fifa games is one of the biggest game franchises in the world, even above shit like cod if I remember right :v:
way to punish paying customers
pirate version will be a smaller download and will run better
It doesn't really kill performance, the initial loading of the game once you launch it takes longer though because that's "where the magic happens".
The fifa games is one of the biggest game franchises in the world, even above shit like cod if I remember right :v:
scene groups don't give a flying fuck about sports games though, probably not glamorous enough or something
gta 5 is a much more important title for them
way to punish paying customers

Run better? Maybe.
Smaller download? Not unless you degrade the quality of the game data and/or compress the game further as a whole. Compression of the game can only do so much though, maybe trim off like 6gb max.
I don't think there's been any proof that it impacts performance, it could just be people saying 'it must be the DRM's fault'
And with this they even get the chance to practices before GTA V comes out. Wouldn't be surprised if GTA V will be cracked pre-release.
I doubt it, if they are saying that the same DRM was used on FIFA 14 (which has been cracked?) and 15 (which hasn't been cracked) then practice won't help.
pirate version will be a smaller download
What? Unless you mean rips with compressed shit.
I don't think there's been any proof that it impacts performance, it could just be people saying 'it must be the DRM's fault'
Yeah, like I said, they're butthurt
