His theory is not that far-fetched. People buying the 5$ 2-game pack ironically is similar to how Bad Rats got a sequel (or how Hollywood keeps making money off of terrible productions). It's such a weird sight to see this orange cheeto bobcat just pop out of nowhere, with the possibility of more in the future? I mean, it looks like it controls well, may have been a lack of proper budget to make it better in the level design.
Who would've thought of one day seeing a "okay" Bubsy game?
Although, 30$ for less than 5hrs of game is a huge steal.

imo the first two were "overrated" (for a lack of better term) with how bad they are.
i got the two-pack on steam for $2 expecting something as broken as bad rats but tbh i didn't really see what made those games stand out from every other 90's mascot platformer cash-in that faded into obscurity. without the truly abysmal ps1 game bubsy probably would've been forgotten too.
maybe i'm biased because i only paid $1 per game and went in with expectations low enough for an ant to limbo under

I think with how the game is and everything it would've been better to have it be sold at around $10.

The devs of this game can really take criticism, that's a rare sight

Considering how Bubsy is a joke at this point, I'm pretty sure that the people making it are aware of Bubsy's history and can only take it with stride.
am i the only one who clicked on the thread thinking about Woolworths?
The devs can't have possibly made the game bad intentionally to jack up the "Bubsy is ironically good!" factor, right?

I don't think they intended to do anything other than making a cheap unity platformer and using the Bubsy IP as an excuse to sell it as a $30 novelty.
