He's the leader of the labour party, quite hardline left in terms of politics which has put him under a lot of scrutiny from the UK media. He's quite a serious person which often doesn't play well with the swing of UK politics. Not really a fuckup, just a big target.

yeah that's pretty accurate, he's uncompromisingly left-wing and yet extremely milquetoast towards the conservative government and all their direct attacks on his own constituents. like he's a nice man and everything but he really is just bad at his job

Honestly looking at the UK parliament is fun, but I don't get how you can really work together when you sit around antagonising each other all the time. Doesn't seem like a culture that will actually foster cooperation, even if it is "just banter".

Prime Minister's Questions is always divisive, and a lot of it is just for show. I guess it's part of MPs being able to have fun while being stuck on the job for 12 hours a day. If you look at debates outside of PMQs, there's a lot more constructive discussion.

It's all maintained by the Speaker, who keeps everyone in order if it gets out of hand. It's been known for people to be thrown out of parliment for going too far with some jokes.

Things tend to be more serious outside of Prime Minister's Questions, which has become a sort of social media event where everybody looks forward to the PM's banter.
