The flesh-eating drug dubbed the “poor man’s heroin” first identified in Russia has finally made it’s way to western Mexico.
After reports that two sisters used the drug called Krokodil in Ohio, we’re now learning of a 17-year-old Houston, Texas teenager who injected the drug while on a trip south of the border to visit relatives.
Now, the unidentified teen is suffering from rotting genitals, as this is the area she injected the drugs into.
But doctors first thought that the 17-year-old was suffering from a sexually transmitted disease. However, they soon found out that she had been a user of the aggressive street drug.
‘”It wasn’t sexually transmitted. She said she’d been using Krokodil for the last two months,” José Sotero Ruiz Hernández of Mexico’s National Institute of Migration told local paper El Periodico Correo.
“The young woman who used this drug had an infection that had rotted her genitals.”
The victim has not been named and her status is unknown as she never returned to the clinic for a second check in.
Mexico, however, isn’t so quick to believe the teen obtained the drugs in their country. The head of the council on addictions in the western state of Jalisco, Dr. Enrico Sotelo, said young woman is a resident of Houston, Texas and not Mexico and that she acquired this problem with Krokodil in Houston, not in Puerto Vallarta.
In fact, Sotelo said a survey of rehab centers and clinics in Jalisco had revealed there were no other local cases.
He said so far, Mexico has detected only two probable cases, the woman in Puerto Vallarta and another person in the border state of Baja California. Diagnosis is usually based on the tell-tale lesions, because the body quickly metabolizes the drug’s psychoactive agent, desomorphine.

Just why her vag? There are so many other veins you could use other than the arm

She probably figured if she sprayed it up into her vagina that it would be absorbed into the blood stream without leaving track marks. I'm guessing she didn't use a needle, but I don't know.
Holy shit, what the fuck. I get it gives you a trip, but there's a lot of drugs that are way less inherently dangerous that can make you hallucinate. Why the hell would you ever take this stuff?

most people don't realize they are, they think they've bought heroin

She probably didn't know it was krokodil, since it recently arrived in America.
Well, she's ruined her life.

You'd think that after two months of injecting a flesh eating drug you'd notice something was off
Get what you pay for.
She probably injected it into her upper thigh.. because the article mentions that it wasn't the drug itself, but the injection that caused it.
“The young woman who used this drug had an infection that had rotted her genitals.”
Besides this, the article doesn't seem to source, and is very vague about information.
These blog-style websites usually steal articles from bigger ones, and rarely have any reliable first hand reporting.
So, I am calling bullshit.

Really desperate I guess. Using it lowers your life span to a year.
Not by a year. To a year, if not less. Krokodile is pretty much painkillers, paint thinner and gasoline.
All the other spots were probably taken already

Wouldn't be a surprise. The "Krokodil madness" is an easy thing for the media to latch onto by making a frenzy of exaggerated reports since it's what the current media scare is now.
I legitimately feel bad for laughing at this. Holy shit that's just such an unexpected thing to read at 6:30AM.
Jesus lord, I was starting to think this city couldn't get any worse; now krokodils made it's way here I wonder what's going to be next.
Jesus. I can't even describe this.
I wouldn't inject krokodil (or any drug) into my testicles with the assumption it's some other drug like weed or heroin, let alone not inject said drug.
She should continue and earn herself a Darwin award.
So any images of this? Research purposes.

Heroin junkies aren't usually looking for hallucination trips, they're looking for the euphoric highs caused by opiates. They take it because they're usually addicted to heroin/other opiates, but can't afford them anymore.
Krokodil is the most disgusting and terrifying drug ever. There's loads of documentaries on YouTube about it by Vice, etc. and what I've seen is that it pretty much reduces people to a severely crippled physical and mental state until they die, which is usually within a year of habitual use.
Reminds me of those two 20-ish brothers from the Vice report, who tried Krokodil just for shits and giggles, but after the first time both permanently ended up at the mental capacity of an autistic toddler.

That's legitimately fucking scary. One time?
See kids, this is why you don't do hard drugs.

I'm sorry, but if they tried fucking KROKODIL for "shits and giggles", their mental capacity mustn't have been that high to begin with...
Kids will be kids, eh.
Anyhow, here's the documentary, if anyone's interested.

Isn't krokodil made from all sorts of wacky shit like Petrol?

It's cheap.
So if her vagina is practically dead, does this mean that fucking her is necrophilia?
It's 10 times more potent than morphine and easy as fuck to make, I'm not surprised to see it spread.
This sounds like nightmare fuel.
