by food you mean McDonalds ?
Oh man an America-has-McDonalds joke. You are so original and hilarious.
Where are you travelling from if you don't mind me asking
And what culture, exactly?
That "American" culture which is ,in short, an Europe-Mix. A bit taken from this, a bit from that, but nothing actually good.

[sp]An ugly one.[/sp]
You have no idea what you are talking about.
The cultural influence inside the United States depends heavily on where in the US you are.
Miami receives huge influences from Latin America in terms of culture and cuisine. Other places take their culture from other places.
Eat some greasy ass burgers and burp loudly in public.
wooo us hate is so edgy and cool i wish we were more like you europeans man we suck!!!!!!!

Heh, I disagree with the claims that the USA has no culture of its own, but you seem to agree with it. After all, you're suggesting that they produce no culture themselves but just absorb other cultures.

If you're trying to disprove the claim that the USA just borrows culture from elsewhere and has nothing original, giving examples of cases where the USA is doing just that is not the way to go.
Buy a McDonalds and make tons of money.

Nah, I'm just pointing out that the base culture behind a lot of these places varies. Many of them are far removed, particularly in the mid-west, and have altered heavily in their own right.
Miami in particular though has a constant stream of Latino immigrants to constantly refresh the Latin American influence on the culture there. So for Miami I think the culture arises from the constant combining of the two cultural flavors.

holy fuck you're stupid.
every culture borrows from one and other in one way or another

I basically meant that it has no culture it could really call their own.
That's why "in short", because the majority of it is.

Different parts of the United States were settled by different groups of people. So the basis for the local customs is based on who settled there originally in many cases.
Louisiana is a great example. Originally French, it has evolved heavily in its own right. You can't attribute their current cultural values to the French, but to ignore their influence during its formation would be silly. Louisiana is quite unique.

Which would be incorrect. Again, you have no idea what you are talking about.

Explain, then. What at this is so incorrect?

Do you honestly only see European culture when you look at the United States?
Are we talking about the same country here? Mexico below it, Canada above it (and...uhhh..next to it)?
We're such awful people because the original "culture" was displaced by our ancestors that we had no control over.
Considering several different groups colonized North America, we took the original culture from those countries and it has changed over time.
Chinese-American food and culture is much different from chinese (HURFDURF MSG AMERICA U SUK U SO FAT), as is Mexican-American.
I fucking hate people that have nothing better to do than hate on a country they know little about. It's like if I started to bitch about Luxembourg for bullshit reasons. You haven't been here, you don't know what living here is like. Yes, there are fat people, yes there are rednecks, but they don't make up 100% of the population.
OT, small town cafes are really nice. If you're going to New York there are a good amount of colorful bars, if you're of age. If nothing else, take a look at the local landmarks, go to museums, learn about the history. Very interesting stuff.

I didn't say only European culture.
The majority of the USA is nothing very different from Europe though.
There also are other States, which also, have their culture from, example Hispanic culture.

Never said you are awful. :v:
