Heroes is about the lives of a bunch of people who have discovered they possess extraordinary powers, and how the powers affect each of them. Genesis, the first Volume, starts off with all of them discovering their powers and finding out about a plot to destroy a large portion of New York City. Generations, the second Volume, follows up with the danger of the Shanti Virus, which is mentioned a few times in Genesis. If you're reading this thread, you should probably know all of this by now.

Season 3, containing the Volume 'Villains', will premier September 22, 2008. It will be a 2-hour episode, preceded by a quick 1-hour summary of seasons 1 and 2. Let's hope season 3 is a hell of a lot better than season 2. They seem to like killing off the best characters (Nathan) while bringing the worst back to life (Maya). Hopefully they learned from season 2.

I already have the first season on DVD.
I'll probably buy the second season when it comes out on August 26. I'll watch them a few weeks before September 22, so that I can know what's going on.

It was delayed so long because of the writers' strike.
