Kesha (also known as Ke$ha) is a new startup pop artist who just recently released her newest and first album entitled, "Animal". It was released January 5th, 2010 in the U.S and Canada. It will be released in the U.K on April 12th 2010. She was recognized best when she was featured in Flo Ridas song, "Right Round". From there, she released her single in August, "Tik Tok" which at first got negative reviews by critics, but top the charts in sales. Number 1 in 5 countries, including the U.S and Australia. It is also mostly in the top 10s. The U.S sold 2,440,000+ copies of the song, Australia sold 70,000+ and New Zealand sold 15,000+. It was later released via radio in October. Tik Tok is both bad and good at the same time. It has an annoyingly catchy chorus, stupidly autotune voice thing, and her voice is just generally annoying. But while drunk, dancing and singing along to it is so much fun

I fucking hate Tik Tok with a passion, the lyrics just piss me off, there are enough songs about fucking trust fund kids going clubbing and getting wasted as its plus the way she sings it sounds forced IMO. However some of her other sondgs i quite like, i's still bugged about the $ in the middle of her name. WHY?

In terms of talent, it's no good, but it's catchy and that's how it sells The reason it's so popular is because attention-whorey songs are like the Bible to girls in the US. I wish the US had some decent music on the charts though in terms of talent.

Tik Tok is reallly commercial, but its so catchy. I'm not really sure if she is a good artist. Maybe once she does a live show I can tell from there, hopefully without autotune.
