I had heard about this modern recreation of hamlet with my two favorite actors (fuck yeah) and had a chance to see it last night. The movie clocked in at about three hours (182 mins) and I enjoyed every second to it's fullest. My only critiques is that some parts (although in the play itself it was rather irrelevant) were cut out. The broken mirror being in every god damn scene after it was shattered was a tad heavy handed. also fuck ophelia, bitch doesn't make sense
It was awesome. Also don't complain about it being abridged; if it wasn't it would be like 5 hours long, and it was long enough already. But yeah it was really good.
Can't imagine being an actor, having to repeat the same emotion and feeling and action every day for months. I've not seen it, but from what i've heard everyone was fantastic.

Nice. Been looking for this. I can't stand Jack Lemmon in Branaugh's (and Kenny himself is a little pretentious). And Gibson's Hamlet, well, let's just say I don't like how close he gets to his mom.
I love David Tennant and all but he often freaks me out with his really big expressions. I think gurning is the word. Other than that he's really good at big emotional stuff. It's just a shame he tries to scare people the rest of the time :ohdear:
Tennant was amazing in the Goblet of Fire. Wonder what he'll be like in this
Saw it in the theatre. Meh. It was alright but not worth the hype.
I've always enjoyed a good Shakespeare story, I prefer them in written form, but I must get around to watching this
