Goddamn MGS1 has fantastic voicing imo. Cam Clark as Liquid is by far, one of my favourite performances. He really brought out Liquid's vengeful and hateful persona, and say whatever you want about Greg Eagles, but I will forever prefer him over whoever did Twin Snakes Gray Fox.
That reminds me... How have we not seen a voice swap between Grim and Gray Fox, and vice versa?

Paul Eiding/Campbell's voice is different in Twin Snakes and MGS4 too though. My guess for the differences between MGS1 and this video is simply that voices change over time and 20 years have passed.
All it needs now to complete it is the beauty of the MGS soundtrack

I think its probably more likely that he and Hayter were just given different voice direction in MGS 1 compared to the later games seeing as the colonel's voice is far less rough in 2 and 4 compared to Snakes increasing amounts of roughness. Although that makes sense in 4 with the whole aging thing.
