"In addition to a tornado, this severe thunderstorm is capable of producing golf ball-sized hail," Enviroment Canada said on its website. The national weather agency said a severe thunderstorm located over southwest Calgary at 1:30 p.m. MT was moving southeast at 30 km/h. The neighbourhoods of Cedarbrae, Bridlewood, Woodlands, Lake Bonavista, Canyon Meadows and Shawnessy are in the path of the storm. A tornado warning has also been issued for Okotoks and De Winton. "This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation," said Environment Canada. "Take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches."
This is exciting times.
There's nothing as reassuring in life as nature bringing "fuck you" right to your home
Stay safe folks, that shit is never fun. I am in Florida, but a little over a month ago my home got hit by a tornado... Which was scary as fuck.
I have my last final today, fuck this storm, no tornado has hit this city in its whole history and no tornado ever shall I'm going on public transit anyway. -Broguts 1996-2015 [editline]22nd July 2015[/editline] I still see people golfing on the course next to my house, this storm aint shit! [editline]22nd July 2015[/editline] Yeah its sunny now I guess the storm just fucking left.
At Calgary standards, that is horrifying as fuck. Usually Calgary doesn't get hit by anything due to it's size.
I have a friend who lives up there whose truck got skullfucked by the hail.
Oh well, at least it wasn't as bad as the storm in Red Deer where they had so much hail they had to bring out snowplows to clear highway 2.

The last time I went through and heard of anything considered big in Canada was the Ice Storm of 1998

Of the five years I lived there nothing this interesting ever happened. What the hell?
I actually have a friend who lives there, took snapchats and shit of it. Was extremely surprising to see this when it was sent to me, I don't recall ever hearing about getting tornadoes in Canada.
I was watching this from my window earlier. I've never seen hail so big in my 23 years of living here
What happened in 2011?
I lived there for five years, not five years ago. The only 'interesting' thing to happen was a Chinook or two or just a snow storm. :v:
Got woken up by the emergency broadcast blaring loud as fuck, I then figured it wouldn't be too close til I drove to co-op and saw one right by COP [T]http://i.imgur.com/YUfAO7G.jpg[/T]
