France already allows civil unions between same-sex couples, but it was a campaign pledge of President Francois Hollande to extend their rights. It is one of the most divisive issues he has faced, correspondents say. Mr Hollande told his cabinet that the bill would mean "progress not only for individuals but for the whole of society". But at the weekend the head of the French Council of Bishops, Cardinal Andre Vingt-Trois, described gay marriage as "the ultimate deceit". And an opposition senator in the conservative UMP, Serge Dassault, said: "It's the end of the family, the end of children's development, the end of education - it's an enormous danger to the nation." More than 1,000 mayors have signed a petition against the proposed changes, there have been protests in 75 towns and cities, and one opposition politician has even suggested that legalising gay marriage could lead to polygamy, says the BBC's Maddy Savage in Paris. Some in the government argue that the law should go even further by offering state funding for artificial insemination for gay couples. At present only married couples - not civil union partners - can adopt in France. A number of European nations, including Germany, Sweden and the UK, already allow gay adoption.
Woohoo!
Woohoo!
You're cheering the criminalisation of childhood innocence?
I hope that if they do go through with the protests, they get out a guillotine.
How in the FUCK would it do that? Like really, just HOW would gay marriage result in that
How in the FUCK would it do that? Like really, just HOW would gay marriage result in that
Uh The gay agenda :eng101:
How in the FUCK would it do that? Like really, just HOW would gay marriage result in that
you should ask the fundamentalist christian associations who rallied around here with dudes in latex suits to symbolize the child taking off on life or some shit
aww I thought it'd be weed
Everybody, get rid of your children. It's better than letting them see what the world has come to.
Well, they did already remove the words, "father and mother" And they also teach that there are 6 sexes in schools now.
6?
Male, Female, Trans, Male in female body, Female in male body, None? I dunno.
I'm not against gays, but I'm curious about the effects of being raised by a same-sex couple. Before I get thrown onto a cross here, I'm not some CHRISTIAN REPUBLICAN ABORTION HATER, I'm just a bit cautious about gays adopting. "Daddy issues" exist, "mommy issues" exist, so I don't want to risk kids' lives getting screwed up because they were raised by two parents of the same sex. Does anyone know of any studies on stuff like this?
I'm not against gays, but I'm curious about the effects of being raised by a same-sex couple.
Completely irrelevant because plenty of kids don't have a dad or mom to support them. Plus gays don't have accidental births.

I find it funny how they act like gay marriage is something different and corrupt. It's just a marriage with two people of the same gender, big whoop.
How in the FUCK would it do that? Like really, just HOW would gay marriage result in that
There are people who think a child must be raised by a mother and a father in the same house not only that it is the most beneficial way but that any other way is unacceptable

Good on them, it makes me really happy to see they finally got with the times!!!!
You grow up to be more confident because your two dads can beat up their dad.
and then anally pummel him
Wow... You guys want a good comparison? You know when FP gets sensationalist news about how some guy did something really stupid and people cheered him for it and then everyone starts posting stuff like "I don't want to live on earth anymore" and stuff of the sort, exaggerating it beyond epic proportions? This is exactly the same. They treat same-sex marriage and adoption as some kind of actual "DOOM", like the end of everything. I mean sure, at most, I could call it weird to see a gay couple with a kid, uncommon because well, it just isn't a common sight, but thats because of the screwed up society we have. But calling it something among the lines of "the end of the world" as if the Sun was in its last breaths and about to swallow Earth and every other planet because of this is just... Barbarically retarded.
should we not let single parents adopt then?
We should just ban adoption, anybody could turn be a terrible parent. Gotta protect that innocence and whatnot
