Say what you will about him and his videos, but this was pretty smart move.
Honestly that was pretty funny.
That song was pretty good

idk I still can't stand his little "peewwwwdipiiiie" scratchy voice thing and the whole "bro army" is cringe worthy but I feel like he's been growing out of his original persona for the last couple of years and I can respect that. This video was genuinely entertaining too
[sp]also he's kinda hot tbh[/sp]
I think he's gradually growing out of that as he and his fanbase get older. They're just, like at least four years behind on this stuff though
Why does he always say his name in the Mr.hankey voice?
I'm actually glad he didn't take the easy route and make a huge dumb point about that kids god awful teeth
also, god damn, that kids MOUTH is full of glass
I never understood why some people hate PewDiePie on the basis that he makes money from his videos. It's no different from anyone else making money off YouTube or from any other job.
Why does he always say his name in the Mr.hankey voice?
Its his "thing", lots of youtubers have their own annoying intro catchphrase or whatever and his is that high pitched pewdiepie.
Also is it me or is he actually starting to (grow up and) grow out of his lulz random screemz?
Yeah his random rape screams were pretty annoying and I wanted to hate him but Pewdiepie is just too nice of a guy
Goddamn. people like Pewdiepie are fucking completely normal compared to what these kids are gonna grow to be

When he looks at the camera with his piercing blue eyes...

Fucking ironic thing is he donates all of it anyways doesn't he?'
if he does then none of their remarks make any sense. Wouldn't either way anyways.

I thought it was Cr1TiKaL who does that.

Pewdiepie might but I have no clue since I don't follow him.

I think folks have some misconception that the moment someone decides to make money off what is mostly believed should be a project of personal value and spirit, then suddenly you're like some greedy disney villain because you betrayed that spirit of making free videos, to make free videos AND make money while doing so.
I don't know I think that idea is stupid. If Game Grumps, Markiplier, Pewds, etc want to make money off what they do, then by all means let them. Making money doesn't change quality, a change in quality happens independently of youtuber(s) earning capital.
Let's dispel once and for all with the fiction that Pewdiepie doesn't know what he is doing, he knows exactly what he is doing.
seriously though he's not an idiot, he's smart and knows that his target audience is young kids so he's just doing what they apparently like. his target audience is growing up a bit so he can let up a little on the insane shit that no one outside of his target demo likes
I thought it was Cr1TiKaL who does that.

you're right, Pewdiepie takes enough of the money that he can live comfortably off of it with some surplus while donating everything else, Cr1tikal donates all of his revenue I believe. He takes money from his patreon but his youtube bucks are donated

He's playing them like a fiddel and the OP video is part of that.

I feel the opposite. If money is involved, quality can actually (and usually does) improve. Money runs the world. Money is an incentive. Imagine being able to do whatever you want to, but being paid while doing so. You'll clearly want to put your effort in to make it good then, to keep the stream steady.
Or is that just me? :v:

That's the first time I've heard it be pro money.
And I didn't say I thought youtubers making money off their stuff was stupid.
I said I thought the idea that money ruins quality was stupid.

Its flat out jealousy.
I remember Markiplier got hacked, and the hacker released his earnings through November which were 680 THOUSAND DOLLARS US. Now imagine almost 5 times the subscriber count on Pewdiepie's videos.
I hate pewdiepie because people adore him for what I consider fairly shit content, but he does have something sometimez entertaining videos.
Haha I love how you can see how much he doesn't give a fuck in his eyes.

Also, by making money of the thing that you do you have to spend less time on work that you'd support yourself with otherwise.
Money also gets better equipment and other resources which do improve production value.
The beard fits him.
Why does he look like he cries every night :(
I respect that he responded to actual hate videos, a lot of people can't tell the difference between someone saying "I don't agree with his style, here's why" and someone going "PEWDZ SUKS"

It's more just rooted in jealousy.
How do I know this? Because I guarantee that if almost anyone who hates him on the basis of 'he gets paid to just scream into a mic' could make the kind of money he does by doing what he does, they wouldn't hesitate to. Heck if I had the option to make millions by making an ass of myself to kids even if it meant sacrificing my principles and making a lot of people hate me, I would be happy to do it.
Also money does make a big difference. If it's your career and your main income then you can focus all your time into it. Not that there aren't exceptions to the rule of course.

Intelligent people are annoyed by the fact that such laziness is rewarded, there is obviously more to it than that, but on the surface it looks like someone is getting paid millions because they've managed to manipulate weak minded people.
I hate him because Youtube's algorithms try to get me to watch his rubbish.

It's really matter of analysing what's trending and what people react to, study people. Human beings tend to love anything they can relate to, anything that's seems like it's really unlikely or impossible (something that's hard to do), they also like comparing things which are very similar but not the same, they're also creatures of habit (laziness sells).
If you want to make a popular youtube channel, find a currently popular topic (movie, game, opinion) and use keyword people who binge watch will type in to youtube, they keep doing that for more things that are popular but related .... and use decent audio, people could careless about the camera, but if the sound is shit they'll just turn you off.
anyone else notice how he talks differently? he talks more clearly and doesnt have that weird lisp anymore
also that beard is hot
