Maria Kislo was left devastated by the loss of her father, Arek, who died after suffering a sudden heart attack in 2009. The tragic schoolgirl was found by her distraught mum Monika, 35, who had gone upstairs to read her a bedtime story. the dads phantom bullied her into killing herself (User was banned for this post ("Insensitive reply" - Craptasket))
as awful as it is, it's also really creepy. sounds like some sort of horror film.
The tragic schoolgirl was found by her distraught mum Monika, 35, who had gone upstairs to read her a bedtime story.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that's really fucking horrible..
Death is an absolute that is tough to get across to a lot of kids at such a young age. This is a fucking bummer.
That's alright, it's not like I wanted to go to bed with happy thoughts anyway.

That mentality can spiral downwards pretty fast if the wrong state of mind takes over. Which goes back to what I said in the OP: this was avoidable.
This is terrible..

Wow, I've had a few friends in this situation, although they never went this far. It's truley sad when something like this happens, especially when it's so innocent and young.

I can't imagine the pain the mother must be going through at the moment.

It takes a significantly disturbed mind to do that sort of thing, this isn't exactly an occurrence that's common among religious young children.
This is why I think that teaching about life after death is a dumb idea, it leads to heart breaking situations like this where a young impressional youth kills themselves because they think that it will bring their parent back or allow them to see them again. It won't, that's just a story we tell ourselves because we fear death.

I see that a lot of people are blaming religion but how else do you want to comfort a 8 year old child that lost her father? The only conclusion I can draw from this is that if something bothers you it's important to talk about it with someone instead of keeping it inside you.
She added: "I had no idea she missed her father so much, she never really spoke about it."
Man that's tragic. It hurts to think about what the mother must be feeling.
I once had a dream that I was murdered in my own flat and lynched and a note was forged to make it look like a suicide. It'd be tragic if that's what happened here, since the mum says she never really spoke about it.

To continue to flame and attack others after doing what was asked is just as bad in my opinion. If you think that it is as bad as you think, you should follow your words and snip it too instead of parading it around as some moral knight. Ive had people very close be in situations so I can sympathsize with these people, and humour albiet dark is still a coping mechanism.

r/atheism went absolutely batshit over this. On a non-idiotic note, though, this is really horrible and avoidable.

There's really no other way to comfort a child in that kind of situation. I'd say desperation is more to blame, as love can drive even children to do something drastic and stupid. [editline]27th October 2013[/editline] Not to say this wasn't avoidable. Looking for signs and getting her therapy could have stopped this.

Well this did make me sad

Any idea what the church is gonna say? Isn't suicide considered a sin in their books? This is fucking terrible.
Man, and I was in such a happy mood tonight, this just threw sadness all over it. I can't imagine how the Mother must be feeling right now

Like if I was going in to read my kid a bedtime story, and I walk into a suicide, I don't think I could function anymore. It would just be devastating.
How can I ever feel happy now, this is so unbelievably tragic.
