At a roundtable this morning, Sony's game studios chief, Shuhei Yoshida, told reporters that any requirement for users to register a game online in order to play it would be left to game publishers. Well that is it then, I'm on board for a PS4 unless MS blows my mind with their E3.
12 years of being a fan of Xbox and just one (Rumored) feature is making me switch to PS4. Good on you, Sony.

not requiring used game registration is now a feature
was already planning on getting a PS4. however my little brother and his band of buttplugs insist they are getting the xbox one. I told them you can't play their each others games without getting charged or something like that. they still said they were still gonna get it. I asked them why. their reasoning? "CoD IS SO MUCH BETTER ON THE XBOX"
That, and also all the confirmed xbone features.
I also don't like the required Kinect. I don't give a fuck about the KInect. If I ever get an Xboner, I'll tape the camera with electrical tape and then figure out how to plug the mic. All I need is a controller, not my hands and voice.
That, and also all the confirmed xbone features.
"confirmed" sure is a stretch, at best most things are misinterpretations, just plain rumors that are either lies or wrong, or perhaps even plans that they'll change their mind on (though that would be because of the opposition, so good on you guys if that's the case!)
Well if the "this generation was great, next will be great" statement is consistent, then they might just be disappointed with the XBone this time and buy a Playstation next time.
Just like the next generations of CoD?
not requiring used game registration is now a feature
When there is so much public confusion about consoles compatibility with used games, it's good to announce that your console won't require any bullshit with said used games. In other news, ZachPL found the thread.

"CoD IS SO MUCH BETTER ON THE XBOX"
I love that reasoning...because being someone who has played CoD on both PS3 and 360....I can safely say (with a change in controls of course) there is NO fucking difference in the experience you are given.
In other news, ZachPL found the thread.
Who is the guy? Someone who gets boners over the Xboner and butthurt when someone points out the terrible unwanted features nobody asked for?

Someone forgot a word in the source's address. I clicked on it, and read it before reading the article headline, and panicked.
It-Official-PS4-Feature-Used-Game-DRM-Like-Xbox-One-56264.html
Seriously, Activision get a silly amount of money for earlier release of content on the 360, it's likely going to carry over to the XBox One.

They specifically said that it would come out on the One a month earlier.
Xbox One fumbles with a critical failure, takes damage to its visual sensors and loses turn! PS4 uses no DRM and promises to be proper game console... CRITICAL HIT! Xbox One grips it's chest and collapses to the ground in agony. Respawn time remaining: 5 years
So all Sony's doing, really, is reassuring people their console will follow the same rules as last time? It's like they don't even have to do their own marketing, they just say they won't do whatever stupid feature the Xbox One does and they're all set.
not requiring used game registration is now a feature
Does that count as progress in gaming history?
it would be left to game publishers.
as it should be. take note, microsoft.
Good news, do you think we will get the console prices at e3?
as it should be. take note, microsoft.
my armchair analysis: microsoft made it a system feature because they're trying as hard to appeal to the publishers who make "press A to awesome" B-movie explosion-packed linear AAA shooters — the games which are the most extreme development cost sinks — but due to what they are (the most linear experiences on the market), they are the games which are the most susceptible to being rented/resold as used copies
Good news, do you think we will get the console prices at e3?
Maybe but don't be surprised if it is $750, €750 and £749.99
I'd say its unlikely. Bluray cheaper and far more common than in 2006 and the architecture isn't some witchcraft Sony made, it's pretty much a computer.
Maybe but don't be surprised if it is $750, €750 and £749.99
That was 7 years ago, blu ray drives are much cheaper to manufacture and the PS4 hasn't got an expensive CPU designed by a mental patient.
Pepper;40869363']That was 7 years ago, blu ray drives are much cheaper to manufacture and the PS4 hasn't got an expensive CPU designed by a mental patient.
Or doubled up hardware floating around inside it (hopefully). The PS3 price dropped pretty quickly when they tore the remains of the PS2 out of that fucker. Plus, as you said, the CPU/ GPU aren't super-weird. x86 stuff is standard for computers, pretty cheap to make.

How the fuck did this happen?
For once....saying you AREN'T doing something is considered good marketing. How the fuck did this happen?
it doesnt matter what you do or dont do as long as you make it sound like its a good thing
