Jean-Marie Le Pen has been expelled from the National Front party he founded after complaints about comments he made that belittled the significance of the Holocaust. Le Pen has for years been in conflict with his daughter Marine, who took over the leadership of the party from him in 2011 and had tried to steer it away from its overtly racist and anti-Semitic policies. The party's executive committee questioned the 87-year-old in the French city of Nanterre on Thursday for three hours and voted to exclude him, pushing him out of a party he led for close to four decades. Le Pen immediately announced his intention to appeal against the decision in court. "There is indignation, there is sadness, it's always trying when one has the feeling of not having made any mistake, of having expressed one's opinion as a politician," he told the iTele television network. In April, the elder Le Pen rehashed familiar comments about gas chambers being a "detail" of history and said France should get along with Russia to save the "white world". Marine openly split with her father, saying he was committing "political suicide," and later suspended him from the party.
http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2015/08/french-party-expels-founder-jean-marie-le-pen-150820201033146.html
Good.
Good riddance. He's such a horrible, delusional and overly racist person. He needs to fuck off from politics. [editline]21 august 2015[/editline] Actually, the whole party should fuck off.
Where the fuck does a fascist party in France find it's funding?
France should get along with Russia to save the "white world".
I've noticed a lot of nationalists and even American conservatives say stuff like this
I've noticed a lot of nationalists and even American conservatives say stuff like this
Yeah, but American conservatives are also usually racist fascists.
So he fight for Vichy?
Marine openly split with her father, saying he was committing "political suicide," and later suspended him from the party.
Well not sure if thats a best reason to say but sure. [editline]21st August 2015[/editline]
I've noticed a lot of nationalists and even American conservatives say stuff like this
American Eugenics programs did arguably inspire the Nazi's to some extent.

And most people never cared about the concentration camps or the gas chambers, only that they were bombing our allies and being imperialistic. Jews were pretty much hated everywhere in the early 20th century.

Or were they more publicly known and just considered propaganda till witnessed for the first time?
Don't be fooled: The National Front with Marine is just a softer version of the Nazi-Vichy sympathizer party that Jean-Marie founded. Marine's niece and current MP, Marion, has the middle name Marechal (as in Marechal motherfucking Petain of the Vichy regime) for christs sake. Anyone who votes for this party is not only stupid but morally bankrupt. They are a thousand times worse than UKIP and closer to The Golden Dawn than any other Eurosceptic anti-immigrant party.

She's the daughter of Yann Le Pen and Simon Maréchal.
Well it wasn't really known about the extent and severity of those camps until we liberated them during WWII, right?
Pretty much. Some resistance groups did get photos and info out about atrocities (like Witlod Pilecki), but it wasn't until the camp's were liberated people saw how bad it really was. During the war, the US was more hell bent on defeating Japan (cuz of Pearl Harbor). Germany just happened to be allied with Japan.
sorry but that honour goes to Hungary's Jobbik
I wouldn't compare a party trying to gain votes with a party which is actually in power.

[editline]21st August 2015[/editline]
sorry but that honour goes to Hungary's Jobbik
True. As a French Hungarian Jew it is a depressing competition: "which country will take my citizenship first?" According to Wikipedia there was a Canadian historian called Maréchal Nantel but besides him I've never heard of anyone with Maréchal as a first name.
Maréchal is a real first name, it's just that it is really old and everyone here finds it ugly, that's why it is given rarely. And Maréchal isn't her middle or last name, it's part if her first name. Marion-Maréchal is her full first name while LePen is the last name.
The Front-National is useless, like any far-right political group. Le Pen is also useless.
of having expressed one's opinion as a politician
Wow it's like SH. "wow fucking mods why u ban me its just my opinions"
