holy shit antifa is a joke not gonna post it but the "autistic screeching" meme is very a fitting representation of them
Where are the police?
Where are the police?
There are rumors the police got a stand down order at a certain point. But the protesters were eventually broken up so take that is you will.
Likely the campus police is a private security and they didn't want them getting assailed by people who are looking for violence. So they just said "Here, Police; Handle this please."
Frankly the anarchists who do the violence aren't part of the protest and muddy the waters. I think the true protesters are in the right as I wouldn't want a reactionary moron speaking at my school either.
Do they have concealed carry license in that state? I wouldn't be opposed to someone defending themselves with 9mm rounds in a few people. Specially the ones bashing peoples heads in to cause blood to form. They're part of the problem.

I was actually planning on seeing this event just to see what Milo had to say, but glad I didn't come.

You would get torn apart like in a zombie movie.
holy shit antifa is a joke not gonna post it but the "autistic screeching" meme is very a fitting representation of them
fascism is not going to be politely argued out of existence.
fascism is not going to be politely argued out of existence.
Really won't considering Milo isn't a Fascist, but a fundamentalist freedom of speech believer. Maybe if Antifa actually could target real fascists they would do a better job. And even then they would still be wrong to do that.
Do they have concealed carry license in that state? I wouldn't be opposed to someone defending themselves with 9mm rounds in a few people. Specially the ones bashing peoples heads in to cause blood to form.
Yeah that wouldn't make matters worse or anything.
Anyone who attends and stays at a violent protest should be accountable for such. They're part of the problem.
Yeah right, you're part of the problem if troublemakers show up at your protest and you don't disband. Any large scale protest has violent assholes in it, saying everybody in the protest is responsible for them is utterly retarded. Guilt by association isn't a valid argument.

fucking and then they generalise it against all leftists we're not all fucking bad just like you're not all fucking bad. so please stop
Yeah right, you're part of the problem if troublemakers show up at your protest and you don't disband. Guilt by association isn't a valid argument.
I see what you are saying but I think that Covalent has a point also (not with the 9mm though, that sounds like some vigilante shit), I think the reasonable thing would be to leave, because more people means more mob mentality and more hiding places for the rioters. If the normal protesters left, then it would be only the rioters left and they could be dealt with much easier. I thought it was fairly common practice to call these events off once they get out of hand. And by acting like it isn't an issue and continuing to protest alongside them, you are tacitly encouraging and backing up the rioters solely by your continued presence.
If Milo can be an arse in public then people should be able to publically protest him being an arse in public. However, violence is obviously bad. The problem is that I'm not convinced that in this, or any case, the actual people that are protesting this are being violent. It's far more likely the people doing this are just irl versions of trolls on 4chan. Same as every other protest like this that turns violent. Obviously, exceptions existing, things like massively awful government policies being protested.
Yeah that wouldn't make matters worse or anything. Yeah right, you're part of the problem if troublemakers show up at your protest and you don't disband. If you stand by while people get violent, you're just part of their fascist, violent protest. Either you help stop them, or you realize that what you've gotten yourself into, isn't peaceful anymore like you wanted it to be, and should leave. Hanging around while people torch things, beat up others, is just saying; "i'm fine with this, I won't do anything to stop this, and I want to watch people being hurt". Large scale protests seem to have a lot of violent assholes in it over the past year and a half then, huh? Even if you're anti-Trump you should denounce violence against others. The only reason to get violent is to defend yourself, and I wish someone would just give them a taste of their own medicine.
Likely the campus police is a private security and they didn't want them getting assailed by people who are looking for violence. Let law enforcement handle it unless you somehow manage to find yourself with a direct threat to your life.
Yes, you are. If you stand by while people get violent, you're just part of their fascist, violent protest.
This is literally the exact same rationale that antifas have.
Yes, you are. If you stand by while people get violent, you're just part of their fascist, violent protest. Either you help stop them, or you realize that what you've gotten yourself into, isn't peaceful anymore like you wanted it to be, and should leave.
What do you mean "help stop them"? Protesters aren't police, they have no more responsibility in stopping rioters as any random passerby. If any fucker burning shit or attacking people is reason enough to consider the entire protest "not peaceful", then there are no significant peaceful protest in history. Your point makes as little sense as dismissing the entire gamergate movement as a hate group because random assholes harass people.
Large scale protests seem to have a lot of violent assholes in it over the past year and a half then, huh?
Whatever is this supposed to mean?
Hanging around while people torch things, beat up others, is just saying; "i'm fine with this, I won't do anything to stop this, and I want to watch people being hurt".
Or maybe they're afraid of being hurt by violent fuckers? Not everyone is as brave as you portray yourself to be, 9mm man.
Just recently I completely flipped my opinion on refugees: sure let them in, support them, for the love of God let them take the place of these "leftists". All this time I thought it was refugees causing a problem, but it's the people "defending" them that are pissing me off and actively disrupting society. Build a wall and put the leftists behind it so I don't cringe at their warped beliefs.
this is the exact kind of cancerous shit that makes talking politics online so fucking annoying right now you really think antifa extremist crazies that are rioting are really representative of the left wing at all? it seems like everyone who's super right wing now doesn't even give that much of a shit about right wing politics they just really hate a vocal minority of leftists. if you try to actually have a discussion with anyone they just default to BUT WHAT ABOUT X THING GOING ON ON YOUR SIDE because they don't even give a shit about their party they just like to make fun of the other one

We're not fascist! Not at all! I'd love to see them try and start a 'war'. I'd go down to the US to help fight against these types of people in the picture.

If you noticed, he put leftists in quotes, signifying that he knows they don't represent them all but isn't sure what else to call them. Pseudo-leftists? It doesn't matter, you claim that you want to avoid the Us vs Them mentality and have reasonable discussion but when thejjoker slightly disagrees with you and refers negatively to a movement you identify with you instantly switch to emotion-based posting and shit talking. You're doing exactly what you're chiding him for. It's honestly pretty ironic. "I hate when far right wingers ( a subset of a group ) talk bad about a subset of people I identify with instead of having a formal discussion. So in response, I'm going to resort to straw man arguments to talk bad about people I disagree with." Practice what you preach brother.
fascism is not going to be politely argued out of existence.
and a bunch of middle class skinny jean wearing white boys destroying random property saying "fuck capitalism kill pigs" while posting from iphones aren't going to get rid of it
and a bunch of middle class skinny jean wearing white boys destroying random property saying "fuck capitalism kill pigs" while posting from iphones aren't going to get rid of it
I don't understand the whole "posting from an iphone makes your ideology pointles argument" you have to work with the tools the system gives you "We will hang the capitalists with the rope that they sell us" is a perfect example of this, virtually all phone manufacturers exploit their workers at some point during the production chain, and the alternative is not to stop using them.
fascism is not going to be politely argued out of existence.
burning trash cans and lamp generators isn't gonna do anything either, to even get close to your idea of an anarcho-socialist society you would need small armies and that idea falls apart when you realize that the people who own the guns are nearly all on the side of the so called fascists
